What God wants us to know, more than anything right now..

What we don't know, ignore, or take the time to learn, can and DOES hurt us. The bible says wisdom and knowledge come from the Lord, as each creates a secure, successful life. When we neglect or ignore our spiritual side, we forfeit the most precious part of ourselves. A spirit which never dies, but was given to help us make the most important decision of our lives. Why so important? Because our choice of where we'll spend eternity, determines our eternal destination. So for spiritual matters, it is wise to consult the one who knows about such things, and lives there, in heaven.

I determine to answer people from my heart. Not what I think they want to hear. A true friend won't mess with people's head like that.

We're not here to assume other's motives. I've always said here, I love everyone here. I'm no better or smarter than anyone else, nor think myself higher, and I mean what I say. I simply know what I believe, and why. I think that's not only important to know about oneself, but crucial, when it comes to where we'll spend eternity.

The motive of any question in this forum, or not, is not always dark. It's to help the reader look beyond and challenge one's own thinking, examine their options, and understand both sides of a matter. Otherwise, we would never learn and grow. I've learned throughout my 75 years, that what I may think I know, doesn't necessarily mean I truly know, if I've limited myself, and am not willing to examine both sides of a subject...the pros and cons. The whole picture.

It is difficult to make an informed decision about anything in life, if we only know and yield to one side. We also do ourselves a great injustice. For example, I never would have believed someone could be "born-again". I thought those who claimed to be, were just faking it for attention. Insecure, perhaps. That is limited thinking...when we judge before we know and examine all the facts.

It is illogical to deprive oneself of knowledge, by stubbornly or pridefully concluding things are only one way, until each have examined without prejudice, both sides of a matter.

Many say there's no God. I checked Him out. When I did find Jesus, I was totally shocked and amazed at how unfair I had been to myself, by my own limited thinking. I learned we shouldn't knock or criticize any given thing, just because we may not understand it, or have no real knowledge of it. I found out real quick, what a great injustice I had done myself, simply by not being willing to at least explore, that which I did not understand, and that I wasn't NEAR as smart, as I thought I was.

However, to my utter amazement and shock, and without realizing such a thing was even possible, (so I wasn't looking for it...I just plain didn't know), that God is very real. When I took a good honest look at myself, I decided to get real and straight-up with God and give Him a chance to show me who He is. I talked to Him in prayer, and decided to give Him all my love and heart, instead of just half, and invited him into my life as my Savior, and that's exactly the moment he sent his Holy Spirit to cleanse, refresh, redeem, restore and transform my whole life and being. I will never forget it. My whole life was as if I was brand new, starting all over again. And it was. You can't help but experience that new (spiritual) birth, from darkness to light, when the Holy Spirit touches you, cleanses you, washes away your sins, and comes to stay with you.

God literally creates a new heart of love and peace inside you. What you're doing is accepting that your heart and spirit are tired and really dead inside, until Jesus makes our spirit come alive, with just one touch. This is not something a dead, sinful heart would or could, ever know...not until it is experienced.

The proof everyone seeks, is already there. It's just something we've not thought about or considered because we simply weren't aware. Those who never read their bible, naturally, wouldn't know of these things, unless....they either read God's Word, someone tells them, or they are seeking knowledge of Him and what He's all about. It's something we wouldn't spiritually understand, unless we experience it first-hand or in one of the above ways I just mentioned.

The "proof" therefore, is in the experience. It can't be mistaken. That's why faith is called for. Jesus fulfilled his mission on earth, then went back to his Father in heaven. Naturally, we can't experience meeting Him face-to-face, but He did leave his love and Holy Spirit in this world, should we decide to choose that lovely fellowship with Him.

His Holy Spirit is sweet and brings a peace thapassesunderstanding...until you invite Him into your heart and life and see for yourself. We are not only carnal beings. We have a spiritual side that must not be neglected, as well. That's why I speak of Him here. That's something I actually know and have experienced. And before I go, I want the people I love, to rest assured that God is indeed real. He's sinless, He is incapable of lying, and He wants to see everyone in the world, in heaven, where He's prepared a very lovely, sinless, ever peaceful and happy home for us. That's security. That's something we can count on. There's no lie that comes from His mouth. If there was, He couldn't claim to be God. That would make God a liar, and a stranger to heaven, because there is no sin in heaven. That's why it's called "Heaven". Because it truly is, and not one of us has to miss it. The second we say, "I believe you, Jesus. I want you as my Savior, too.", He cleanses our sins and makes our lives whole...making us fit to enter heaven, and sends His Holy Spirit to help us and guide us, as promised.

He's real. I wouldn't have bothered nor committed the last 46 years of my life to Him, if there was even a hint of doubt. He didn't leave us to guess. He came and taught, so we would know.

@BlueSkyKing Your theories and criticisms about me and especially God, are so untruthful and full of holes, I could indeed, write a book about WHY. Especially about me and my God, which you insult, without [admittedly], knowing anything about God. If that's not limited thinking, I don't know what is.

You'll read and believe a hundred books from agnostic authors, who don't even know or have even explored God...let alone be in a position to critique Him. Especially Pascal. It makes perfect sense to take someone's word about God, though they know absolutely nothing about him. You said you don't know God. That's why you cannot understand Him. Your judgment of Him is critically flawed.

You call God "foolishness" but what you don't understand, is that the "foolishnes" of God is wiser than any man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than any man's strength. 1 Corinthians 2:14

The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are FOOLISHNESS to him, and he cannot understand them, BECAUSE they are spiritually discerned. One cannot understand the things of God if they don't know him, as you have admitted. You want nothing to do with him. That is obvious from all your criticism of him. Criticize me all you want, but I'm not going to participate when you stop so low as to make fun of a God you dont know. This conversation is permanently closed to you. You don't know how to have a discussion without childish criticism, falsifying information, or attacking one's character and words.

You don't believe in God or heaven, yet you speak of a hell you imagine God can't wait to throw people in. You clearly do not know God nor His character. You're looking at life and the things of God, through critical, spiritually dark, distorted lens, because you don't know the real truth of Him or why He came. Making God out to be some kind of maniacal, manipulative monster, only out to kill people and throw them in hell. This is what happens when one has no true understanding about God and try to put Him in a box of imagination with nothing to base it on.

You say you can't believe in God because he's unknowable and there's no proof he's alive. Yet you believe in death, without knowing what's on the other side. You're going somewhere after you die, but don't know where. Jesus said you can be sure about where you're going. Don't you think it would be wise to check that out? Eternity is a long time to get it wrong. And that's not a threat. That's Jesus trying to save you. Jesus wants us to know, not guess how to have eternal life in heaven...so you DON'T MISS IT. And I've explained and explained to you why you would miss it, but you refuse to listen. I told you what Jesus said, not me... I don't make the standards or rules and neither do you. No one's that smart. But you've got it stuck in your head that God throws people into hell if they don't believe in him. Nothing could be further than the truth.

Religion is nothing but man-made philosophy. Religion is confusing and messed up, because confusion comes from Satan. He wants us to believe we can't have a relationship with God. But religion didn't die on the cross to save us from our sins. Jesus did, and that's why it's called a personal relationship.

Jesus shows us the way, because He KNOWS the way, and He knows your way doesn't work, if you're going to try and drag your sins into heaven. Jesus wants to cleanse you of them, so you can lose the condemnation SIN has placed on you. Not GOD. He's doing nothing but trying to save you from the consequences SIN has placed on you, but you want nothing to do with that. So that means, you'll walk out of this world with your sins still attached, and STILL separating you from God. That won't get you to heaven.

When one is unfamiliar with the spiritual realm and unwilling to take a real look at it, then call themselves a realist, that's concerning. In reality, you are practicing limited thinking, just because you don't understand something, so you just ignore, neglect, then turn to criticize, for lack of understanding. That's not discussion. Since when, can you read my mind and know my experiences? There's a flip-side to skepticism. Not everyone, skeptic or not, is honest with themselves. With honesty, comes healthy thinking and the willingness to look at all sides, if we're going to be fair and honest with ourselves. Otherwise, it's a one-way street that leads to a dead-end. Moreover, if we are fair and honest with ourselves, and find our thoughts to be questionable after discussing with people, we must be willing to explore that person's ideas to see if we're really being open and honest with ourselves. Really examine and study them carefully, to see if we are, indeed, thinking logically and truthfully with ourselves. Otherwise, we'll just stay in the dark.

Do you know something I don't? Then SHOW me where I'm wrong. Prove it, and I'm all ears!! If I'm wrong, I'll be mature enough and smart enough to be the first to listen and learn. It is foolish to think we are always right and know it all. If I'm wrong, I'll be the first to not only admit it, but change my thinking for the betterment of myself and my life. The Truth sets one truly FREE. You mock my salvation experience as fallible thinking and fantasy. Prove your verbal accusations. That's on you. You can't, because it was not you, who experienced it. And just because you don't believe it or can't understand my experience, does not mean it's untrue or that I imagined it. You can't know that. That's only critical thinking without basis or truth.

Check anyone and everything out for yourself though, before making fun and downplaying their words or experince. Get to the truth before coming to premature conclusions. That's what the Jimmy Jones cult was all about. People blindly following, without checking things out! And it cost them their lives.

Whether I think I know something or not, I'm aware that there's a possibility I could be deceiving myself, so I definitely look at all sides before I make an informed decision about anything. That's constructive, healthy, and logical thinking. One-sided thinking is not healthy. It is true that my truths are not your truths, nothing wrong with that, but at least I read and listen before concluding something or someone is wrong, based on an open mind, without prejudice.

Your adage, "If it’s not science, it’s superstition". It simply works well for me.",... is limited thinking. It very well may work for you here, but Jesus said that doesn't work in the spiritual realm.

A little science, estranges us from God. A lot of science, brings us back.

Man tells God, "I'll do it MY way!"
God says, "If you're so smart, have it your way."
