How does the creationist accept that a DNA test shows they're related to their father but reject that a DNA test shows they're related to a chimp? [Spirituality & Religion]

DNA lets you see that you're related to your parents, somewhat more distantly related to your grandparents and what your racial heritage is.
DNA lets us see that a tiger is closely related to a lion or a mouse is closely related to a beaver.....so why can't it show that you're closely related to a chimpanzee?

The real question to the creationist: At what point can you claim that DNA is no longer showing relatedness but a common designer and how do you justify that claim?

did darwin ever deny the possibility of a creator??
or did he believe both were possible??

I actually don't know much about Darwin as a person. But i imagine it's quite possible that accepted the possibility of or believed in a god.
I personally don't believe in a god but i accept the possibility that such an entity exists.
It's just that if it created life then it undeniably did so using evolution as the mechanism.

@1490wayb Charles Darwin’s personal views (I have no idea what they were in this case) are irrelevant to discussions of evolution, DNA, and science in general.

There are no authorities in science.

Darwin considered himself an agnostic. He still believed that a god created the universe, and was the ultimate lawgiver. But he gave up on Christianity and religion.
There was a rumor that he renounced his theory on his deathbed, and accepted Jesus. But that was debunked by his children who were there.
