In fact, the increasingly common way to refer correctly to dinosaurs is "non-avian dinosaur" but certain sects of Christianity find this to be unacceptable for reasons they are not good at defining.

Something else to consider with colors with birds, sometimes the males and females look different.
Just saying so that's a possibility with feathered dinosaurs as where. Though as far as I know, that's less true with the birds they claim are the closest to them.
@Viper True. Sexual dimorphism can be very challenging in extinct species and with dinosaurs especially. Is it a different species? A different sex? A different stage of development?
