Gods words to not trust in man, but in The Lord! [Spirituality & Religion]

“Cursed is the one who trusts in man,
who draws strength from mere flesh
and whose heart turns away from the Lord.
6 That person will be like a bush in the wastelands;
they will not see prosperity when it comes.
They will dwell in the parched places of the desert,
in a salt land where no one lives.

7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
8 They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17

The simple answer about is God is Good Orderly Direction .
Dont harm people and keep life simple even when your crazy .
I went into religion too much before and being honest I got so overwhelmed with it , it took away my humility. The ego ran riot and it was all fear based but how I realised that was at night I couldn't sleep .
Night time answers all your questions especially with the mind . You can immitate Christ .
I used to be so calm before ,never thought about religious beliefs , never thought about Christ and left life happen and the reason why I said that is if you try hard to find something , you'd loose it and life will pass you by .

@riseofthemachine "Religion" per se is not the same as trusting in The Lord. Knowing God can help us is very calming I think. I meditate on Bible verses like "Be still and know that I am God" "All things work out for good for those who love God"

@Carazaa That's the best meditation practice I ever heard of .
Where in the bible is that ?
Carazaa · F
@riseofthemachine I believe its Jeremiah 17

God isn't even real so.....
AnonymousJSS · 22-25, F
@Carazaa How? Because there's no evidence that proves his existence.
Carazaa · F
@AnonymousJSS How? Because he is everywhere, that's how! You haven't been paying attention! There is plenty of evidence. I know him, and I wouldn't lie to you!

@Carazaa
Because he is everywhere, that's how! You haven't been paying attention! There is plenty of evidence.
One can say exactly the same about Odin, or Zeus, or Jove or any of the millions of other gods. Where is the evidence that points to your specific god and no other? I mean real, independently verifiable evidence, not just your opinion.
Don’t trust man. Or books written by man.
Sharon · F
@Carazaa So? My beliefs have also changed as new or more evidence became available.
Carazaa · F
@Sharon Sincerely I care about you Sharon, and please be aware that there is an evil spirit in the world an angel, Satan, who is roaming to influence people away from God. His goal is to destroy you. God wants to save you from being destroyed. And God sends people to witness the truth. Satan tries to blind people from the truth.
Sharon · F
@Carazaa
be aware that there is an evil spirit in the world,
That's is just your belief. I see no reason to give your beliefs any more credence than the beliefs of others, in fact there are several reasons to give yours less.
to influence people away from God.
Or maybe it your god trying influence people away the their god so as to destroy them. Even your bible relates accounts of the evil wrought by your god.
Satan tries to blind people from the truth.
No! The bible shows how Satan set us free. It is your god who tries to blind people to the truth.

God is three in one. The Father who no one has ever seen, not even Moses when he got the ten commandments.
The Son, who was there at creation.
And the Holy Ghost or Spirit, who is here to aid us in our prayers.
Carazaa · F
@WSEIII Yes God is a spirit but he makes his presence known even today, and He Definitely made himself known when he came down and walked among us, and even more today as he changes peoples hearts, like mine. 🙂

@Tres13 Amen🙏

What you said is true but the fear based religious doctrine is not Godly at all
Carazaa · F
@SW-User "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" Prov 9:10
Carazaa · F
@SW-User When we trust in the Lord we will not fear the heat, the cold, the fire, the plague, or worry how to pay our bills, because he helps us! On my miracle post (my 5th featured post I wrote about how God did some amazing stuff for me)
Why the duality?
Carazaa · F
@SimplyLogicalDiscipline Ask God. He is blessing those who trust in him.
