As i read the Bible, i have a hard time buying the narrative that God is all knowing. He just gets way too angry. [Spirituality & Religion]

Thinking specifically of Isaiah and Jeremiah, God is so, so pissed that the people are worshipping idols and not obeying the law of their ancestors.
Like my anger will burn like a fire forever, i will have your enemies strip and rape you, your bodies will be like piles of manure on the ground etc etc.

Would someone really be (or reasonably be) that angry about something they knew from the very beginning was coming?
Seems crazy to me.

@Carazaa If you could tear yourself and your mind away from that cult...stop with the buybull quotes and use your own mind

@Carazaa You don't like it when Atheists post dissenting comments in christians' threads, inviting people to accept reality, so it's very hypocritical of you to post christian propaganda to an Atheist's thread. Remember the doctrine of "Do unto others..."
@Amyrakunejo

Well i would tend to agree of course. Just a mythologized history of people in the near east.
@Carazaa for real? He will definitely do anything, absolutely anything you ask so long as you ask it in his name? Each and every time?

@froggtongue It's never worked for anyone I know.

@froggtongue For real! You can read my 5th post my "miracle" post.
@Carazaa I don't need to because it's not true. And you know it and just don't want to admit it.

@froggtongue There is nothing to support any of her fantastic claims. Anyone can make up stories like those about their gods.
Carazaa · F
@froggtongue I don't lie!
Sharon · F
@Carazaa Your stories suggest otherwise.

@Sharon Oh brother. If I lied then God would stop answering my prayers. I would never take that chance. Also I really think it is much kinder to always tell the truth. I try to treat people the way I want to be treated. I want people to always tell me the truth. Otherwise I couldn't trust them in the future, and the most important in any relationship is trust and I want people to trust me. It is very important to me. Yep!

@Carazaa
If I lied then God would stop answering my prayers.
That proves everything I say is true because, if I lied, The Flying Spaghetti Monster would stop answering my prayers and withdraw the touch of Its Noodly Appendage from me. r'Amen.
