@Pikachu Right? If you think about it, how would sacrificing an animal you don't care about, help you atone for a sin.
I've always thought that you would try to be a better person to atone for something horrible you did. It doesn't make any sense to give something else pain for your own misgiving 🤷♀️
Of course, I don't approve of doing something to yourself but the irrationality of sacrifice doesn't make sense.
