jk its just because everyone assumes its magic. don't trust the ones that claim it is as there either delusional, crazy, or a con artist. the good psychics are the ones that mix a bit of helpful psychology and showmanship to help you be more introspective and offer advice.
nobody can demonstrate magic. but psychology and a flair for the dramatic wont get you the James Randy foundation prize.

In the best case senarios, i'd agree that a good psychic can offer some sound wisdom and psychological insight.
It becomes a problem when people pretend it's a supernatural gift and their clients/victims change their lives based on superficial armchair psychology or worse.
