Quite apart from the argument about whether the God of Abraham exists, what argument would you make that he is worthy of love and worship? [Spirituality & Religion]

Worship? Never. I'll worship nothing. Only tyrants want to be worshiped as they need it and feed off of it to feed their megalomania and narcissism.
Respect. Even love is another thing. Both of those have to be earned over time. Jesus washing his followers feet is worthy of such. As you are putting another before yourself.
Sheesh! God and Jesus sound like they would be enemies. Lol

Well said.
And yeah, Jesus does seems to be rather different from god as we know him in the OT.
I'm in favour of some of the Gnostic gospels which say that there was the OT god who was an evil tyrant and then a more loving NT god.
