😠 The last time you read them a story they had nightmares for a month!
@Lostpoet

lol not surprising
Sharon · F
Not many christians have any idea what the bible contains. They'd be shocked if they ever found out.

@GodSpeed63
You better take your meds or call a time out. You're more confused as ever.
LOL, You need to take your own advice. You're REALLY confused.

From your reply to @Pikachu, it's clear you really don't know what's in that book of myths called "the bible" - Wholly Babble is a much more apt description.
@GodSpeed63 Because men have been committing crimes against women for centuries that makes it okay when it actually does happen? What a gross mindset.
@GodSpeed63
So, whatever point you were making became pointless.
lol whatever you say, sport.
You asked for proof of Sharon's claim regarding Christian ignorance of the bible...and you proved to be the perfect example.

You can do your little tap dance all you want.
Point proven.😎

You don't know the Word of God at all. I wouldn't let you read it to my grandchildren unless you knew how to interpret it the way it's meant to be interpreted. My grandchildren are being brought up in the Word of God, BTW, thank you for your offer though.

@SatanBurger It's not the only time or reason they cherry-pick.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Sharon I know. Most of the Christian ideas are stolen from earlier belief systems anyway.
Sharon · F
@Entwistle That's true. TBH, I think they all are, only the names have been changed in a vain attempt to disguise that fact. That would also explain why some are so reluctant to explain their beliefs - they either don't know the basis of them, or know that doing so would reveal their origins.

Whatever you do, don't read the story of Abraham's sacrifice to the children. I was traumatized when I first heard it as a child
Is it all murdery and rapey with lots of smiting and wrath???
@DukeOfEarle

Well let's just say that there's no shortage of that lol
@Pikachu Nothing new under the sun
Pretzel · 61-69, M
you gonna read about lot and his daughters aren't you?
@RedtheEmerald

Oh it's even worse than that. In the story about the girl who gets raped to death, it's not just a some random crime that happens.
Her husband pushes her out the door to get raped all night and then in the morning she crawls up to the door and dies. When he opens the door to see her raped-to-death body he says "Get up! Let's get going!".
And then the cutting up.
@Pikachu It leaves me absolutely speechless as to how these people say their God loves everyone. The people that wrote the Bible are fucking vile.
@RedtheEmerald

Even the stories they do hold up as good are pretty vile.
purplepen · 51-55, F
No, because you're too naughty - LOL. You'd read them a scary story. If I had kids, that is.

The Bible includes a lot of real life stuff that people do when they are barbaric and wicked.
@purplepen

Not to mention the things they do at the command of god.
