You'd think so, I mean they don't have a problem believing in zombies and talking snakes, but they seem to have a real problem with verifiable fact. Anything that doesn't require a leap of faith and WATCH OUT!!

@Allelse There are no verified facts in evolution theories. Wild speculation giving material magical powers is all you have. Pure nonsense.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@hippyjoe1955 There he is. Old man river to put in his 2 cents. I thought I already talked to you about this, you're in a abusive relationship with a fictional character and you got the Stockholm syndrome.

@Allelse Whos old man river - that senile old fart that got me confused with someone else earlier ?
Allelse · 36-40, M

@MarmeeMarch Nah they're two different old chaps but they are very similar, and they often come to each other's 'rescue'.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Allelse So if there was no abiogenesis and no God how did we come to be?
Allelse · 36-40, M
@hippyjoe1955 No idea but that's the fun of reality, it's one grand path of discovery. We'll probably never know but it's worth the search. But there is nothing wrong with admitting we don't know, that's alright, I know it's scary because the universe is a hostile and a scary place at times; but it's honest to admit you're scared and that you don't know.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Allelse So you actually think that matter can magically form itself into a structure that is capable of contained life and somehow this magical substance gains an even more magical thing called life. Neither of which can be explained on attributed to material form or function. Simply doesn't happen. Can't happen. No chemical or physical reason for the material to form anything even close to life forms. No physical or chemical reason for this thing we call life. We have absolutely no idea where information comes from if all we have is matter. It simply can not happen by some cosmic accident.

@canusernamebemyusername Too funny you don't even understand ETERNAL.
@hippyjoe1955 Too funny you don't understand anything:)
Allelse · 36-40, M
@hippyjoe1955 No, what I said is I don't know where all of this came from, but that it's going to be a lot of fun finding out. We don't know, and that's alright. We didn't know what rainbows were for most of human history, but we know now, and even if we hadn't worked out the mystery behind those colorful arches, that's alright because the answer was there along; it just took some looking into.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Allelse What you said is that you are completely ignorant of anything of what we Christians believe. Christians hold that God is ETERNAL. Without beginning or end. He is not some sort of magician or wizard. He is Omnipotent and Omniscient. He Created everything we see out of HIMSELF. An act of Supreme Will and Creativity. What's more He decided He would create offspring. Those who are born from above are those offspring. In the mean time you think it all began in a mud puddle. Whatever. Your idea is not even worth considering.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@hippyjoe1955 It's just mythology, one of many which our species came up with to explain the universe.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Allelse Nope it is logical. Much much more logical than your theory of an accident in a mud puddle.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@hippyjoe1955 I never said accident in the mud, I said I don't know origins of existence. But what you believe is simply mythology. One of a many.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Allelse If it wasn't created by a Being such as the one I described or it was a cosmic accident likely in a mud puddle somewhere. There are no other options.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@hippyjoe1955 I said I don't know, I never said there weren't other options.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Allelse What other options do you imagine? The science has whittled it down to one or the other that I presented.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@hippyjoe1955 I don't know, and that's my point, I don't know. Science works on what we have, and what we have for the origins of the universe is still 'Don't know'. Science is pretty sure the universe expanded from a singularity a dense state, but where did it originate from? Science doesn't know and that's alright.
The problem with mythology is that it answers the 'unknown' with 'God/Gods/Goddess' are responsible for the lot. Which is simply a human invention to deal with the 'unknown'.

hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Allelse Yet you act like an idiot. If what I said is true and this world was Created by a Creator such as I describe.... Here you are dumping all over HIM. Not a wise move. Now if as the atheist believes this is all just a cosmic accident then who cares. If you want to slander the accident then feel free. As an accident it can't come back to haunt you. Some people are foolish. In fact the Bible says "A fool says in his heart - There is no God".
Allelse · 36-40, M
@hippyjoe1955 That's all you got? Just rambling on about your mythological being's wrath?
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Allelse What wrath? I'm laughing at your stupidity. You can't even recognize design. Too Funny!
