I just can't accept the notion that a god who loves anyone at all could order mass murder the way he has. [Spirituality & Religion]

His chosen people are ordered to kill thousands of people, [i]nations[/i] of people not even sparing the women and children. After all, that Promised Land was far from empty when the Israelites showed up.
I can't accept that notion.
Or at least i can't love that kind of god. I certainly couldn't.

Where do you suppose that leaves me?

Pikachu, God was with the Jews because he loved them. The other nations were worshipping Molek and sacrificing their own children! Yup. There's fucked up things still going on in the world.
But if you told me that the way to help those kids being sacrificed was to kill every child in Uganda...well we'd have a disagreement.

I speak my truth, nothing more and nothing less. You take offense because to you god is not only real but above any reproach, above any recognizable rule of morality.
Don't be cross with me just because i do not share that view. How could i without god revealing himself to me?
