Does anyone else find parts of the bible to be hilarious? [Spirituality & Religion]
And i don't mean in a mocking "haw haw look how silly this is" sort of way. I mean is there anyone else who genuinely enjoys and finds certain parts of the bible to be funny within the context of the story?

Sure! Ramessesll has just reminded me of one of my favourites.
So Isaac is getting old and blind, on his way out. So he's going to pass his blessing on to his elder son Esau. Now Esau's half brother Jacob wanted the blessing and so his mother told him to take a goat's pelt and place it on his arms so that when Isaac touched him, he would believe Jacob was Esau. And sure enough it worked! I mean, imagine [i]how hairy[/i] you'd have to be for your own father to touch a goat pelt and be like "Oh yeah, that's Esau"!!!😂

Your problem is you’re looking at it through 20th century eyes. We are not dealing with the 20th century culture with an ancient culture in which fathers would’ve had actually very little probably to do with a young children. When are you going to get your head round the fact that you’re dealing with an ancient book and stop this silliness@Pikachu
