Why do you think that god won't allow anyone with a disability of any kind to be a priest and make offerings? [Spirituality & Religion]

You have to be perfect or you die because God is Holy and perfect. Jesus makes us perfect. There is no way under heaven where we MUST be saved. The sacrifices that the priest did for the atonement of Israel was to illustrate Gods Holiness and how far we come short.
@Carazaa

But nobody is perfect. I wonder why god needs your testicles to be intact or that your arm isn't broken.
Seems weirdly discriminatory
Carazaa · F
@Pikachu imperfext testicles ha ha ha ha, I don't have those. Do you?
You are asking those questions again and then making a judgment that God is discriminatory.
You are right we are all flawed, and that is the point! We can't enter heaven on our own. So Do you?🙂
@Carazaa

...that's not a judgement, carazaa. That's an objective assessment of the text.
God is discriminating against disabled people for fitness to serve in the tabernacle.
No two ways about it.
Carazaa · F
@Pikachu I knew you would ignore my question, you're good at that 😉
We are all flawed.
I wont question Gods standards. He knows more than me. But all of it has meaning and they had to sacrifice and atone for their sins. They all had to be perfect in front of God.
@Carazaa
. But all of it has meaning and they had to sacrifice and atone for their sins
Sure. I just wonder why having a broken arm or bad testicles makes a person more unfit than another to be a priest in the tabernacle.
Carazaa · F
@Pikachu I think it is very sinful to question God on anything he does. I have shared this with you before. How do you why God gives a disability to one person and not another? He uses people for different purposes.
Carazaa · F
@Carazaa The person that was used by God the most was Moses, and he had a stuttering or speech problem. God used him because he was humble I believe. But the priests were a sort of atonement rep for God.
@Carazaa

I don't remember him having a stutter. I remember him being very shy and lacking confidence.
I think it is very sinful to question God on anything he does
And i think it's very silly to blindly accept authority. I have shared this with you before
Carazaa · F
@Pikachu We don't know exactly but it sounds like he might have had a speech problem

Exodus 4:10 says that when God asked Moses to speak for him, Moses came up with the excuse that he was “slow of speech and tongue.” Some Bible commentators have suggested that Moses might have suffered from some sort of speech impediment.
I think God gives us problems to humble us. Some would be very cocky if they had no problems at all because they aren't humble, and God knows hoe to humble us. But the priests had to be perfect to be in Gods prescence.
Carazaa · F
@Pikachu Have a nice evening🙂 I have to run errands now before its too late.
@Carazaa
But the priests had to be perfect to be in Gods prescence.
I wonder why they did but moses didn't

Ok goodnight!
Carazaa · F
@Pikachu I'm going to search the Bible to see what God has to say about why the priests in Leviticus had to have no imperfections now tootls🧚‍♀️
Carazaa · F
@Pikachu How can we possibly understand God? Aren't you so silly even trying? Why is there gravity? Why does all sin lead to death? Why do we have to be perfect to go to heaven? Why is a mole of any substance 6x 10to23rd power molecules? How can we ever understand all of the reasons why God does anything? But He is smarter than you, or I so if you ask this question first explain why the mole molecule is this way?
@Carazaa

Maybe it's silly. I'm still not going to stop.
Because unlike gravity or the mole, god is meant to be a sentient being with agency and motivation.
I wonder about those motivations.
Carazaa · F
@Pikachu Then why did God make the molecule to the 23rd power, not the 24th power?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Carazaa I think it's terrible religious people don't question the discriminatory practices towards disabled people, they can't help they are disabled. Yuck I feel horrible I walked into this nasty conversation.
Carazaa · F
@SatanBurger You still are confused that we have to be perfect to be in Gods presence?

All disabilities, and all problems is because of the original sin and the curse on the world because we are sinful, and hateful. and this is why Jesus had to come down from heaven to make us clean because we are sinners. God gives it to us straight! You don't want to be told that you are a sinner. The Bible is just about the only book that tells it how it is. We are dirty, and will die in Gods presence. People don't like to hear that! People like you blame God, not yourself. But that is the truth!. And no other organizations do more for the hurting, alcoholic, drug addicts, homeless, the blind, the disabled that churches, and Christians!
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Carazaa A lot of what the bible is mentally abusive. There's no such thing as perfection, the drive towards perfection has actually caused thousands to murder people. It's just a control tactic, plain and simple. I don't have to be perfect for no one, I love myself.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Carazaa
And no other organizations do more for the hurting, alcoholic, drug addicts, homeless, the blind, the disabled that churches, and Christians!
Nope. They do it with the promise of spreading their religion, technically that's not altruism because it has a specific selfish motive behind it. When you help people, you do it because you want to. Many Christian organizations won't also accept people like LGBT communities and when I was in a very large city and happened to need a few weeks shelter, I was in a Christian homeless shelter that operated much like a cult.

I wasn't homeless at all but the stuff I witnessed there made me wonder so I did research, turns out I'm not the only one with that experience when it came down to Christian shelters.

It's because it's not altruism, it's a selfish motivation underneath it all. People can only be helped if you, yourself want to without the promise of any fortune or conversion nor heaven nor hell.
Carazaa · F
@SatanBurger
Oh Yeah? No one is perfect? Well Jesus is! You go ahead and love yourself. But you are not doing yourself a service! In Loving God, you will have a new identity. You will be a child of the most high priest, Jesus, the creator of the world. That makes me walk with confidence. Not because of anything I do, but because what Jesus has done for me. He loved me and it gives me true identity to love others. He is watching, and my life belongs to Him! And I am here to tell you this because I have the love of God in my heart for you!
