Would you agree that this is an intellectually dishonest position or do you feel that this is an intellectually defensible position?

[big][/big]you keep banging your head on this one.
let get this settled

[big]BELIEVERS[/big]cannot be swayed by evidence based argument.

[big]FAITH [/big] is about belief even when faced with contrary evidence

they cannot be converted by rational argument, so stop trying, it is just being a troll to do so

Science adjusts it's views based on what's observed.

Faith is the denial of observation so that Belief can be preserved.

you want them so say something like

"Yeah I believe a bunch bulllshit! you are so right! let me admit my life long wrongness!"

it is not going to happen. they DARE NOT accept the waste of life

i think you would like stuff by this guy

@Dshhh

It sort of sounds like you missed the point of this thread.

I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything.
I'm trying to see how creationists who (like most of us) consider themselves to be rational and logical, rationalize the impulse to deny contradictory evidence.
Dshhh · M
@Pikachu but they are not rational, they will ever rationalize what they believe. there are no "new "arguments from them.
what do you hope to learn?
but they are not rational, they will ever rationalize what they believe
I prefer to speak to people rather than stereotype and dismiss them🤷🏻
Dshhh · M
@Pikachu steroptypes, exist for a reason, they are often indicators of commonality in a group.
I have some,,,, experience with this

you see i think you are really just trolling, what purpose can these post have but to get them to say what they always say
over and over and over.

@Dshhh

Nevertheless, i prefer to actually engage with people before simply dismissing them. I enjoy it. I enjoy speaking to different people and seeing their take because (despite your pigeon-holing) many of them give fascinating answers which open up lively discussion.

But to each their own, right?🙂

@Dshhh Agree! 👍️

As believers base their faith on evidence your assumption is wrong. @Dshhh @Dshhh
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Looks @ speedy 🤣@Dshhh

Mate I won’t argue with you for that reason. It’s actually in the Good Book: ‘Don’t argue with a fool lest you become like him. You see it had you number all those years ago! 🤣🤣🤣‘@Texasgurl
Yes, it’s in proverbs.
I do understand your reticence.
You posts amusing,
Full of faith and venom.
Just like your “savior”
.
Yet, you will argue with others.
Yes, it’s your award 🥇.

Well said🤣

As proverb said the fool is wiser in his own mind than 10 who answer discreetly. You see the old book has your number again friend@Texasgurl

Not at all dangerous to operate in the realm of faith when your faith is founded on the solid ground. Your problem is you know nothing about real faith just supposition. The other thing people like you do is that when people correct you you get offended by it@Texasgurl
@Dshhh Actually, I heard a rabbi say once that he had no idea if God existed, but he preferred that he did, so he lived his life accordingly. Even Mike Huckabee, a former pastor, when asked if Christianity was the only way to heaven, said it was the only way "as far as I know." Implying that there could be other ways he was personally unaware of.

"Judge not lest ye be judged" has been interpreted to judging another person for their belief or lack thereof. John Shore has interpreted Jesus' statement "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the father but through me" to mean that Jesus decides who goes to heaven, but this does not necessarily have anything to do with Christianity. Jesus never said "you must be a Christian," but arrogant swine like @Speedyman conveniently ignore that.

The loudest Christians (and religious people in general) tend to be the most arrogant ones, but there are a lot of them who don't feel the need to reinforce their own faith by continually shoving it down everyone else's throat.
@Speedyman

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

No evidence. You are still on hope.

there is no faith on solid ground. Check your definition of faith.
I’ve been there and done that. I have the t shirts.

Your belief is no better than a belief in Zeus or Ra or Vishnu.

You have been sold a lie because of geography.

I have said nothing you can correct me on.
Speedyman · 70-79, M
The evidence of our faith is the fact that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. We based our faith in history not and closely devised Fables like Zeus or Vishnu. To say there is no faith on solid ground is a tremendous error as far as the Christian faith is concerned@Texasgurl
x-tianity is not something I am concerned with running afoul of.. it’s a set of borrowed myths.
there is no evidence of what you claim

if there is evidence then you need no faith.

oops@Speedyman
Speedyman · 70-79, M
Your problem is you have no evidence to say that it is borrowed myths. The statement that Christianity is borrowed myth is itself or borrow myth. To say it is that shows your lack of understanding@Texasgurl
