@Carazaa If the world of J.R.R. Tolkien is true... then it would also not be so smart to push that ring on your finger. 😅
But you are talking in terms of the fantasy world. While other people seem to be rebelling in to thinking in these fantasy terms you use at the beginning of your question. But I'm trying to be consistent. If we for a fact knew it to be true, it wouldn't be smart to resist the truth. It would go against everything I argued for up until now.
but we aren't in that fantasy reality you are talking about. The only people that are stuck in that world is religious folks. 😅
We should actually ask you the question: "what if we know for sure that the bible ain't right, would you reevaluate your religious position"?

@Carazaa See, that's just as ridiculous as saying that if the bible is objectively true, that you would not follow it. Because you would be objectively wrong.
While in a world that you know the bible is objectively false, following it would make you objectively wrong.
What's smart about those positions? It's pretty much advocating in favor of ignorance.

@Harriet03 I never did that... but we did had a lot of fun at sunday school 😂. We did that in the chamber that belongs to the priest in church.
Sometimes we went early, and when we saw a cat, we made the cat come to us. Then we grabbed it and put into the church. If you caught 3 or 4 cats in half an hour, they make quite the racket when you are indulging in sunday school. We seriously goofed around during those 2 years.

@Carazaa Thats pretty much what everyone believes that considers something real. That however doesn't guarantee that what you consider real is real. If you want to be sure, you should at least try to evaluate the opposition of what you consider to be real. Something believers can't do, because if you accept that "believe" is a thing, criticising the underlieing structures of what you accept to believe, are out of the window. That's what dogma does to people, no matter how annalytical you are.

@Harriet03 Sorry that you believed the lie about Santa.🥺 See I never did. I knew there was no Santa immediately when Dad disappeared every time Santa appeared. I was analytical at 4 or 5. My sister on the other hand even though she is super smart but doesn't analyze and logically come to the same conclusions as I usually do never connected all the dots and she too was heartbroken when she was told Santa was really Dad all dressed up.
