Why would an all-powerful, omnipresent, omniscient god want lesser beings to worship and give offerings to him? [Spirituality & Religion]

That sounds like something a narcissistic sociopath would do.

@Harriet03
I don't have a god, retard.
If you skeptics were atheists, you'd be lying six feet under your headstones. being that you're alive, you believe in some type of god and have faith.
@GodSpeed63 Hi coward! Still making up your “facts”?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@wilderflower
“facts”?
let me know when you come up from under your bed and start acting your age.
@GodSpeed63 Let me know when you start acting like a man.

@wilderflower godspeed keeps trying to argue that everyone has something that is of god-like significance to them, and that such a thing therefore qualifies as their god.

There’s a problem with such a banal assertion. If anything can qualify for that role, then everything, absolutely everything, qualifies as a god, so what then becomes of the significance of his particular god. Surely it is of no more significance that the paperclip worshipped by somebody else. The claim of someone worshipping a magical entity and the claim of someone worshipping a paperclip are equally valid, or equally invalid.

That leaves him where he started (and has remained ever since), with the assertion that his personal choice is somehow the only valid choice... an assertion made on the basis of nothing whatsoever

No. Anything that takes the place of the one true God, Yahweh, on your heart is an idol or false god.

I am very familiar with Yahweh's work but you've demonstrated that you are not familiar with His work.

@GodSpeed63 Very familiar sadly!!
However it's irrelevant, he was invented by cavemen to explain thunder!
Later used for control & financial gain, still is today.
Bernie Madoff would be proud!

Your postings say otherwise.
@Harriet03 The need to invent an explanation instead of accepting reality continues to modern day Christians.

Reality is eternal, this world we live in is only temporary.
@GodSpeed63 Nothing you say matters.

@GodSpeed63 To repeat... an assertion made on the basis of nothing whatsoever
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@newjaninev2 Like evolution???? Too funny. Pot meet kettle.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@hippyjoe1955 Oh, I don’t think evolution is based on nothing. It’s based on evidence.

Would you like to see some of that evidence? Then we can discuss it.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@newjaninev2
Oh, I don’t think evolution is based on nothing. It’s based on evidence.
There's no evidence for it, so, it's still based on nothing.
@newjaninev2 And once again we see him denying evidence because his indoctrination prohibits entertaining such thoughts. He’s an insignificant coward.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@wilderflower Actually it is the evolutionists that deny evidence. The problem is that the evidence better supports design than accident. Too complex for accidental occurrence. Too bad evolutionists aren't very scientific. They are too religious.
@hippyjoe1955 Spoken like a true Christian cultist.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@wilderflower Nope. I came to realize the impossibility of evolution while I was in the cult of scientism. Too bad you can't open your eyes and realize you are still in that cult. No thinking or observing allowed. You might fall out of the cult of scientism. Too funny.
@hippyjoe1955 Hey there’s one of your signature phrases of denial.”too funny”
When are you going to give us your all time favorite saying. You know the one - “have a nice flame out”...
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@wilderflower Well you see as an atheist/evolutionist all you have to look forward to is non-existence. You are born. You grunt to survive and reproduce and you die. Isn't that exciting????
