Why would an all-powerful, omnipresent, omniscient god want lesser beings to worship and give offerings to him? [Spirituality & Religion]

That sounds like something a narcissistic sociopath would do.

Why do atheists ask questions aimed to mock rather than ask what they don’t understand? In my experience every atheists are either confusing scientific theories as scientific discoveries, or they are rebellious and don’t like being told some aspect in their life is harming their life so they deny existence all together.

Uh...
@SW-User Not all who question are atheists, though...even if you call yourself a “believer”, shouldn’t you be clear about what it is you believe ? 🤔
Zenyatta · 26-30
@SW-User 1. This isn’t even in a mocking tone.
2. As a former Christian raised southern Pentecostal I refuse to call Christians or any other followers of various beliefs idiots/fools/ect
3. You’re doing a lot of projection but then again I’m aware of a certain group of unsavory internet atheists so I’ll let you slide

Don't you know what a Scientific Theory is? It is a discovery.
Carazaa · F
@SW-User Jesus said mockings would increase before he comes back, and men reject God because their deeds are evil.

@Carazaa just like every other religion ma’am

@QuixoticSoul carbon dating is used to approximate the age of the earth. Carbon dating is inconsistent sometimes with up to a 700% error range. For example two bones of the same animal was carbon dated and the age of the two bones where thousands of years old. The speed of light is used to measure the distance between stars. Scientists have slowed down and sped up the speed of light. Making the speed of light another inconsistency. Atheists a lot of time claim religion and god was created to explain what science couldn’t at the time. If that’s the case science still uses “gods” today with black matter being a great example. Without black matter the entire Big Bang theory falls apart. However we can’t study black matter understand it or see it. My point is there is too many inconsistencies in these theories to consider them fact without farther research.

@SW-User Maybe believers should ask more questions? 🤷‍♀️
SW-User
@Sharon how do you discover a theory? A theory is formed
SW-User
@Harriet03 a believer is someone who has already answered their questions

@SW-User
carbon dating is used to approximate the age of the earth.
No it isn't. K-Ar dating might be.
Scientists have slowed down and sped up the speed of light. Making the speed of light another inconsistency
Reference the published paper please. I'd like to read it. Last I knew the speed of light in a vacuum is a universal constant.
SW-User
@Zenyatta that’s interesting what made you change from the way you were raised are you an exception from my experience
SW-User
@Sharon if dark matter makes up 95 percent of space light wouldn’t continuously travel in a vacuum https://curiosity.com/topics/empty-space-isnt-empty-and-quantum-researchers-now-have-direct-evidence-curiosity/ https://www.livescience.com/29111-speed-of-light-not-constant.html
@SW-User Believers are constantly growing in their belief (so they tell me). So they are asking questions.

@SW-User
how to discover a theory a theory is formed
What's that meant to mean?
SW-User
@bijouxbroussard we are not alive long enough to ever master any topic. The question of existence is what I’m referring to. Do you want to continue to bicker to do you want to express our differing sides so we both can learn off of each other
SW-User
@Sharon ] how do you discover a theory? A theory is formed
Carazaa · F
@Zenyatta Exactly every religion recognize sin as a problem, and every religion people try to apeace God to work to make him happy. Only Jesus did all for us to go to heaven. He finished the job even before people cared about him or believed Him. But if we sin there are consequences in this life.
Zenyatta · 26-30
@SW-User Father was a pastor so reading the Bible did it for me
@SW-User Personally I think people have the right to believe what they want—as long as they don’t interfere with others. That is where the “bickering” begins. You will not find me at someone’s door or in a foreign country trying to change someone else’s beliefs. That is the difference.
Zenyatta · 26-30
@Carazaa No I’m talking about “Jesus said mockings would increase before he comes back” there were many dying and rising personal savior cults during that period preaching the same story
SW-User
@Zenyatta And why did that do it for you? You can use science to support everything in the Bible.
SW-User
As an unbeliever what would be your motivation to do that anyway? Do you understand the people who do that think they are helping people saving people. These are people who believe they are doing the up most good and get treated with disrespect for doing so and continue to do it. @bijouxbroussard
Zenyatta · 26-30
@SW-User The child murdering, rape, and pillage didn’t sit well with me. Then there’s the inconsistencies. The multiple religions that predate Judaism that for some reason resemble Judaism and early Christianity. That and god sounds more like an abusive lover rather than a loving creator🤷🏿‍♂️
Zenyatta · 26-30
@SW-User curious, are you talking about every believer or certain denominations?
