Have You ever experienced Ego Death? [Spirituality & Religion]

I am just going through it now in a natural way. Real Eye-Opening experience. And No, I didn't take anything to reach it. And I am glad I reached it naturally.

If you have, then care to share how you experienced it?
And who is teaching you this ego death? We must be careful whom we allow to teach us. Even Satan can place thoughts in our own understanding that SEEM like our own thoughts of wisdom and understanding, but are not. He is the great deceiver. What you call "ego death" is what the Bible describes as dying to self (the ego) and the flesh. Not letting our emotions control us, nor think that we are higher or better than others.

You said...." If you have a reason to do anything for yourself and for others, just so you can feel to be a part of the community and society to belong somewhere, even when we don't think about it while doing it, is nothing but Ego to make us look good in our own eyes and others around us."

Not all people who do for others, do it to look good to others or in their own eyes. That's a very judgemental statement you've made. They do it to strictly help others. There are some good people in this world, not driven by ego. God gave us the ability to put evil thoughts, PRIDE,  self-righteousness, and selfishness aside, which is nothing but EGO, and put them under submission. And God gave us a conscience to know right from wrong. Ego is a person's SENSE of self-esteem or self-importance. It is self trying to think more highly of ourselves, than should be.  Or....can even go the other way and have us thinking very poorly of ourselves, but those ideas certainly weren't given by Jesus.  Jesus said we have need that no man should teach us, only the Holy Spirit to teach us things...not flawed man. 1 John chapter 2 verse 27 tells us that by the anointing by the Holy Spirit, which you (any born-again Christian) have received of God, abides in you and you have no need that any man teach you, but as the same anointing of the Holy Spirit teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in Him. These "New Age"  or foreign to biblical teachings that man seeks his own truth, found only in himself, is a devil's lie, that seeks to lead us astray from God...NOT draw us to Him.

God said that "man cannot be smarter nor wiser than God" NOT because we, as humans, are still lacking control over our emotions and letting go, but because wisdom comes only from God and HIS teachings. Man's reasonings are never better nor wiser than God's because we have flawed reasoning. God does not. That is why God said not to lean on our own understanding,  but to seek instruction and guidance from His perfect Word and the Holy Spirit. "There is a way that seems right unto man, but the end thereof is death." Proverbs 14:12 Meaning physical and spiritual destruction. Those with rampant egos, think way too highly of themselves; that they control everything, when in fact, they should be seeking God and His wisdom. How egotistic to believe we have all the answers within.
@Jester1987 I understand alright. James 1:5. "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of GOD, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given him." Wisdom clearly comes from God, not ourselves. God tells us how to get it, by seeking it from Him.

@LadyGrace Amen.
So you killed your ego? How did you do that? There is absolutely no reason to kill the ego . It is a part of us that God meant us to have for a reason, so I'm sure he would not want us to think of ourselves as gods and destroy our ego. What you're really telling people on this site, is that they are their own god and they can create anything they want in themselves. You're telling them they don't need God. You're telling them that we are all self-sufficient. To go into themselves and meditate. "There is a way that seems right onto man, but the end thereof is distraction." God said so . He also said not to lean to our own finite understanding. Man will never be smarter nor wiser than God. He just thinks he is. Such is the fall of man, and why this world is in the shape it's in.

@LadyGrace No. I haven't completely lost it. But I am glad that I learn so much more when I am in it. Ego did not die, it is always present. Ego was given to us by god because Ego is Reasoning. If you have a reason to do anything for yourself and for others, just so you can feel to be a part of the community and society to belong somewhere, even when we don't think about it while doing it, is nothing but Ego to make us look good in our own eyes and others around us.

As for the god part, I do mean that they can find a way to communicate with their god whomever they believe in. God said that "man cannot be smarter nor wiser than God" because we, as humans, are still lacking control over our emotions and letting go. We are as humans still more connected to our primal needs which have more aggression and lack of control and understanding.

Its also about Controlling your Ego and not letting it control you.

There is more to it of Creation I know of, but can a human handle it? Their ego over their own beliefs won't let them accept it. But then that is how it should always be by design.

If you read my comments below you may come to some understanding.
I notice in your profile, you desribe yourself as "Down to earth. Wise. Honest. Understanding." God said in His Word, "Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear the lord, and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:7

@LadyGrace We all are Gods plan anyways. Why he made me that way I can't answer.
@Jester1987 God HAS plans for our lives, however, not all accept that plan. He did not make us automatically wise. That is what that verse is telling us. It clearly states that if we seek wisdom, we must ask God for it.
In our journey with the Lord, our answers to these questions about self, will change. They will become less about us and more about Christ.

If we read John the Baptist’s statement and other passages in the Bible, we might conclude that God has problems with the human ego. Jesus said we should deny ourselves (Luke 9:23), and Paul talked about being crucified with Christ (Gal. 2:20). It seems that self is what stands in the way of God’s glory. We have all prayed at times, “Lord, get me out of the way, so You can be seen!” We instinctively know if our eyes are on self, we can’t see God. If ego consumes our lives, we cannot reflect the glory of our Creator.

I brought it back.. Bigger, better, stronger, faster!

Is that like the reality of oneself hitting the person hard? Realizing that the truth about ourselves isn't what we thought?
Jester1987 · M
@SW-User It's more about understanding a place of being in relation to the world in which you exist. Reality is there. Present. It's not only about realizing the reality of oneself. It's about understanding how we put ourselves in this reality.

One can never be entirely free of the ego, but an interesting experience I am sure🙂

And our reasoning will work fine when our emotions are under control. 🙂
Jester1987 · M
@ravenwind43 The definition is human in nature so it might just do. It's how we do it.
Jester1987 · M
@ravenwind43 Thing is, Beliefs create thoughts, thoughts create feelings, and feelings are directly connected to what we believe. So the action we take is because of what we felt. And now do you know why that emotion occurred? It was because of what we believed.
If you closely see, it's a cycle...
