@Harriet03 God is clear of what he considers sin. This is another reason why the Bible was [b]not[/b] written by men who lied, because God says any lying, and contempt in our heart is sin and deserves death because we die coming close to God who is all good. He is so far, far, above us in his standards of how to treat others. "treat others the way we want to be treated Love your enemies, and pray for those who despitefully use you" (like Jesus did). The 10 commandments is a start. No man would come up with that. Read them all they condemn us ALL. You too!

The Lord God is the only righteous judge who'd rather see Himself under the death penalty than us. This is why Jesus came into the world to bare our sins and be put to death on the cross instead of us. Then, He defeated death once and for all when He rose again.
