Would Jesus have come if Adam had not sinned? [Spirituality & Religion]

and why did He wait so long?
This is just a question. If you are atheist or agnostic you can call it BS or take a shot at it as if its a debate and you were assigned to argue one side or the other. Thx in advance
🤔 Technically Eve sinned first, she took the apple when she was told not to. Of course Adam indulged. I think the world would be A LOT better if they hadn't done that... but here we are. :) But, I don't think he would have had to... Sin would not have entered the world.

Wait what? What Jesus? Isn't he in the whole story much later? Adam is the first man so how could Jesus be involved. Something that confuses me greatly, do people make a difference between God and Jesus?

@DrSunnyTheSkeptic because he's God. I'm obviously not a god so I can't possibly think like a God. He is a bit more experienced or powerful than me. I'd be a dumb ass to follow someone like me.
@kentex35 Original sin is a very Catholic idea. Jesus's actual purpose was to fulfill the prophecy and put an end to ceremonial law (eg blood sacrifice) so people could be forgiven

@Qwerty14 that practice of blood sacrifice came about after expulsion from eve. Nothing good came of the 'fruit' they tasted. Their ignorance or lack of experience was still there. I read something that said anything worthwhile usually has some lead up to the event. Like the super bowl cheesy as that is by comparison, but all these prophets came and preached and some performed a miracle I guess, they had power to summon any angel or God himself to open the red sea, or had an angel stop the blood sacrifice of an eldest son or build a boat big enough to save the only good family and all animals, except unicorns, griffins, Pegasus etc.In time. I believe we are all still evolving. Smarter than 500 years ago but not as smart as we'll be in 500 years. The bible and science will merge and all things someday will make sense of the other.
Whoa all this thinking... I'm going to pull a cork.
Good answer by the way
You mean if mankind never left the garden? Then there would be no need for Jesus... Or anything really

The trinity existed before there was man. He created and He walked in the cool of the day. Throughout the Bible, God always leave a back door or alternative to sin and that is repentance and a relationship with Him. The reason why there is what we view as a delay in His initial coming is the same today, because He “does not want any to perish but all to come to repentance”. But His clock is running out. He is coming soon.

@Emosaur Good answer. God gave man the ability to reason. Its what separates id's from animals. He gave us this so that we would choose to do his will.
Knowing all wasn't hard for me to grasp as the question of knowing what we are going to do in advance why waste the time(even though time must be in extreme abundance to something immortal, always was always will be..)
I was in 7th grade when i posed the question in class to Sister Mary Joseph, who should've been retired, that God needs us too. I thought she was going to faint or maybe she was looking for a hiding place from the lightning bolts that were surely on the way. My theory being, why would he crate us in light of being all powerful he could have created a more drone like creature. We went back and forth a little and time team out, the Holy Spirit must have intervened a she would say, that following Sunday the catholic weekly paper The Record, published an article titled God needs us. And the following morning I was told to read it aloud from the front of the class. I'm a smart ass not in need of public praise nor put down. The gist was God created us because he was lonely and needed us. The angels weren't enough Lucifer had already tried to take over and failed so here we are trying to prove we want Him as much and we have a lifetime to prove it by overcoming inherent temptations and urges to sin. Why does something like sex feel so good and yet a sin? Believer or atheist how would you have your son or daughter deal with his/ her urges? Along with inherent sin comes inherent good. I hope this makes sense. I'm not evangelizing ,i should but I'm not just playing the devil's advocate ironically.
