What is the christian position on the characterization of Christianity wherein... [Spirituality & Religion]

...god sacrifices himself TO himself in order to create a loophole in the rules that he set?
I mean, why not just forgive? Why the demand for blood?
I'm sure someone must have explained this to me before but i don't remember.

According to scripture the penalty for sin is death. So there has to be blood taken as payment for your evil deeds.

@Pikachu why what ?
@MURD3RM0NK3Y
So there has to be blood taken as payment for your evil deeds.
Why?
God makes the rules. Why does he demand a blood sacrifice from himself?
Why not just forgive?
People can do it. Why can't god?

But if god makes the rules, why does he need to make loopholes?

@Pikachu He demands a sacrifice from you because that is the penalty for sin death. That is the payment he demands from you. But since he wanted to save all of humanity he paid the price for all of our sins I guess by taking the form of a human and paying for it himself. You have to remember god isn't human. He does no wrong. He's almighty and perfect. According to scripture of course so he can't just forgive those are his rules that's why I said it says in the scripture the penalty for sin is death.
@JohnDillinger

I haven't answered myself.
I haven't asked can he do this. I've asked why he would do this.
@MURD3RM0NK3Y

But why does he have to make a loophole when he could just forgive?
Why couldn't his perfection include perfect forgiveness?
MURD3RM0NK3Y · 26-30, M
@Pikachu I just answered that.

No.
You didn't.

You said that the penalty for sin is death and so god had to make a loophole.
I'm asking you why he needed to do that instead of just forgiving.
What's the point in making loopholes to circumvent your own rules?
@JohnDillinger

So we com back to "god works in mysterious ways"

Not a satisfying argument but totally unassailable.
MURD3RM0NK3Y · 26-30, M
@Pikachu Yeah. I did. The penalty for sin is death. That's gods rule. Therefore blood is needed as payment. There is no "just forgiving" there has to be blood taken as payment. Respect that.

Why?
What's the point of making a loophole in your own rules.
You must understand that you haven't explained it. You've only asserted it.
@JohnDillinger
Well, I said nothing about Him working in mysterious ways.
You did though. You just didn't use those words.

Yes. I am preoccupied with having a coherent explanation.
I am not content to just accept it at face value.
I can't turn off critical thinking.

So why aren't you critically appraising this "art"?

@JohnDillinger

No.
Because you appear content to let problematic concepts go and just "appreciate the art" instead of critically assessing them.

To anyone applying critical thinking.
Like i said, i can't turn that off. It seems that you can.
