Are there any real Christian soldiers left? [Spirituality & Religion]

I am so sick and tired of all these professing Christians who keep quiet and don't confront evil when they see it because they don't want to offend others. We, as Christians, are called to be ambassadors and soldiers for Christ. There is a war going on all around us, people. Put on your armor and get out there and fight.

I disagree! We are to love people. Jesus said "You who are without sin, cast the first stone"

@Carazaa The Bible is a weapon.

God provides us all with spiritual gifts. These gifts are different for each person and doesn't make one more or less of a Christian. I choose to use my faith as a tool for the lost in the world while someone else makes theirs a weapon against the evils of the world ...God has a use for both of us...equally. I, personally, do not believe Christians can lead unbelievers through aggression, hate, and force. If you choose to do that then I pray that your desire is spirit-led and fed.

@Stereoguy He’s talking about spiritual warfare and not literal fighting.

@Pinkstarburst I agree I believe in love not hate! Jesus who died for the world 2019 years ago loved the world! That's why he died. All true Christians will bear fruit, and we bear fruit by our love!

I was taught we are to fight evil through our actions and with open arms. Didn't Jesus say that if someone strikes you on the left cheek to turn and offer your right? He also taught that the lessons from the old testament needed to be tempered as we shouldn't go around taking an eye for an eye.

I agree we are to be examples and beacons for the rest of the world to see but we cannot do so by knocking down anyone that is different from us. We need to open our arms, hearts and voices to let them know the glory that is in God. We cannot MAKE them come to us, we have to offer the way and the light to those that will listen and keep on offering. Too many Christians want to condemn anything that is different from them and criticize.

For those that are different from us, we should be offering them a chance to join us and learn how loving Jesus is. We really need to continue to ask ourselves WWJD? The war isn't to be fought with shouting voices but in quiet conversations. The apostles continued the preaching and gathering crowds through conversations, not shouting threats that anyone not listening was going to hell. That is the only way to open hearts, minds and souls. Yelling at someone telling them they are wrong is only going to close all three.

Take it for what it's worth and think about your daily interactions. Someone yelling at you telling you that you are wrong only hardens your heart. By having a conversation you get MUCH further in getting people to listen. By getting people to listen you can persuade them to continue to come your way. It is not unlike fishing. You can't catch many fish by yanking the bait through the water. You've got to coax them to nibble and eventually bite to join you in the boat.

@abe182 You think I’m against humanity or something? 😆
abe182 · 51-55, M
@SW-User some Christians are.
SW-User
@abe182 yea. Some are not true Christians and others are babes in Christ and doing their best.
AMEN!! I’ve thought the same.

Let's start with the USA.

How are Christians prevented from practicing their religion?
@MarkPaul You're an ass
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Pinkstarburst Thanksies. 😇
@BiblicalWarrior Addressing political issues in church is pretty much at the top of the list why I left organized religion. I ended up hearing more about political candidates, ballot initiatives, cultural war nonsense than actual religious instruction.

If you want to do that in a church, don't file for 501(c)(3). It's that simple. Plenty of churches go that route so that they have no IRS constraints whatsoever.

@WindOfAdolf Bear in mind that when Jesus said that, He was addressing the Pharisees and Sadducees, the Jewish religious leaders, not the average Jewish person in the crowd.

I'm a Christian but I don't bring it up because I know it's a divisive issue and don't wish to enforce my beliefs upon others. I might discuss beliefs with friends if they're open to it

Brother, Jesus commanded us to make disciples of all nations. Don't be ashamed of Him. He's not ashamed of you. Do your best to be a bold believer and, if you need help, give a holler.

There is no evil, only ppl lacking awareness of who they really are.
Time will tell. 😉 @JovialPlutonian

@LadyGrace yes, it'll be a while before humans take the initiative to discern between what's real and all the mumbo jumbo they get fed in church.
Yes, it will be awhile before scoffers wake up to the Truth, but sadly, by that time, it may be too late. There’s no second chances.
@JovialPlutonian
You should try the reading the life and words of Christ. To be steadfast against evil, yes. The armor of God is to protect us against evil. The war going on around us is a spiritual one, fighting against principalities and powers, and spiritual wickedness in high places.

@TwiddlerofThumbs The apostles spoke out and so did the prophets. They were killed for it!
@SW-User yep.

@TwiddlerofThumbs BUT we as Christians are told to preach the gospel of the kingdom.. baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost!

@GodSpeed63 I copied my message to Pikachu to you since He mentioned it to you!

That’s right. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. The apostles didn’t lose their lives because they had tight lips. They spoke out and were hated.

Yeah. Join the Christian jihad.

@Harriet03 They wish 😅 They'll need to get a bit more violent if they hope to take over the U.S. the way the Taliban took over Afghanistan.

By the Grace of God I proclaim His message and let the chips fall where they may. I am not above pointing out other people's nonsense when it is obvious.
