I am being forced to car share with someone I suspect might be an Atheist. Advice please??? [Spirituality & Religion]

I recently started a new job which is 38 miles away and the only wayI can get there is by getting a lift with someone Im pretty sure is an Atheist!

I live in an area with a lot of costal roads and obviously my main concern is that he decides to kill himself as hes giving me a lift to work by simply driving over a cliff.

But also im worried for my co-workerers too. The Atheist is very pale and sometimes starts muttering to himself all through break and its very sinister. He's probably going to go nuts sometime soon, what can I do?

I'm 90% sure I'd be more scared of the Christian who just killed 50 Muslims in New Zealand. Anyways don't worry, I'm sure you're saved right 馃ぃ

@SatanBurger No true Christian would murder.

That's a logical fallacy known as the "no true scotsman".
I mean, there is not a better example of that fallacy than what you just said.

@Pikachu ??It is a true statement! Christians will go to war and kill, not murder. All Born again Christians will be loving. Many Christians who say they love God, do not really, they are deceiving themselves. Many Christians are in it for ulterior motives. Jesus says that many will say "I preached in your name, and I will say to you I never knew you" And these "Christians" will not enter heaven.

Allegedly. Not a single syllable in either testament was written by anyone called Jesus Christ.
CarazaaF
@HerKing The whole Bible was written by inspiration of Jesus, sorry to tell you!
HerKing61-69, M
@Carazaa Nope...it was written by story tellers, the first writings about thirty years AFTER his death.
CarazaaF
Not true, The old testament was written thousands of years before about Jesus and all the prophesies have come true! This is how we know
it is from God.

@Carazaa And which 'prophesies' are these perchance?

Hey, my mother was a devout Christian and we had some quite robust discussions, it was close to her too, but neither did she try and ram it down anyone else's throat either.

@Carazaa Anything that's independently verified?
CarazaaF
@HerKing I will check.

@HerKing There is so much prophetic stuff coming true such as God saying to Israel that they had left their first love(God) so he would scatter them all over the world, and in the last generation gather them again. One example.
The Bible gives a description of the time table for the Jews losing their homeland in 606 B.C. and then coming home in 1948 A.D.
Heres the scripture and the math;
*Ezekiel 4:4-6 says that the Jews will suffer 430 years of punishment for their disobedience.

*In 606 B.C. Israel (Judah) was taken into captivity by Babylon for exactly 70 years and the Jews punishment begins.

*This leaves 360 years of punishment left after serving 70 years in Babylon.

*Israel still didnt turn to God in which the usual punishment was- "And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I (God) will punish you seven times more for your sins." (Leviticus 26:18)

*360 years of remaining punishment times Seven= 2,520 years.

*Now add this remaining 2,520 years of unpaid punishment to the 70 years of the punishment of Babylon paid for and you get 2,590 total years of punishment.

*Now add this 2,590 years of punishment to 606 B.C. and you get the year 1985 A.D. which doesnt mean anything because....
The Hebrews used a 360 day year. We use a 365.25 day year(.25 for leap year). Thus, we need to convert Jewish years into our years.
2,590 total Jewish years of punishment times 360 days = 932,400 total days.
Now divide this 932,400 days by our 365.25 day system and you get 2,553 of our years.
Thus, the total punishment for the Jews was 2,553 of our years.

*Now subtract this 2,553 years of total punishment from the year 606 B.C. and you get the year 1947.

*Wrong Year? Nope, there was no year "0" B.C. or A.D. Therefore you add 1 year.

*1947 + 1 = 1948 A.D. Not bad for a book "made up by men" thousands of years ago.
