Spoil the rod [Spirituality & Religion]

What exactly does spoil the rod mean in the Bible
curiosi · 61-69, F
The rod refers to the shepherd's staff that he gently guided the sheep with. The shepherd did not beat the sheep but used it as a guide.

Wasn’t that the allegory of King Rod who was spoiled as a child and grew to be a worthless adult? 🤔
