The Burden of Proof: Theists of SW, do you believe that an atheist has a burden of proof when it comes to their lack of belief in a god [Spirituality & Religion]

or their rejection of the claim that a god exists?

If you say no, then i agree. If you say yes, then let's discuss.

Yes atheists must prove Yahweh does not exist. Any of the 'evidence' atheists produce to prove evolution can also be explained by a Creator. Until you completely eliminate the possibility of Yahweh evolution is little more than bad science.

And yet
Every.
Single.
Time that i try to get you to debate the relative explanatory power of creation vs evolution for a specific piece of evidence, you back down😏

But we're not discussing evolution in this thread, so back to the question.
Yes atheists must prove Yahweh does not exist
Why?

Why do i need to prove that your claim is wrong in order to be justified in not believing it until you prove that it is true?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pikachu There is no point in debating magic mud. Mud isn't very smart. Now if you care to PROVE that YAHWEW doesn't exist have at it.
@hippyjoe1955

Hmm. Not going to humour you in this thread, joe.

We're not talking about evolution. We're not talking about abiogenesis.
We're talking about a burden of proof.

You've claimed that the atheist must prove that your a god and your personal idea of god, does not exist.

I've asked you a very direct and simple question and you will answer it or you will excuse yourself.

Why does the atheist need to prove that your claim is wrong in order to be justified in not believing it until you prove that it is true?

@hippyjoe1955 That's fucking dumb, bro.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pikachu Of course not. You don't have the intellectual horsepower. Sad to say magic mud isn't very bright.

@hippyjoe1955 The irony in this statement is quite amazing.
@hippyjoe1955

Strike two, joe🙁
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@QuixoticSoul No it is basic science. You must eliminate all other possibilities. If you can't then the possibility remains and your theory remains simply a unfounded theory.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pikachu You lost the game set match and tournament long time ago. Disprove or shut up.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 Again. That's fucking dumb, bro. Completely backwards. And once again, you aim for paralysis. I guess that's a comfortable state for you.
@Pikachu Is it just me or is he actually saying you did evolve from his magic mud. Thus actually confirming it through insulting you. lol Are you getting that too?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@QuixoticSoul No son that is science. Obviously you are not very scientific.
@hippyjoe1955

*sigh*

Like i said in the other thread.
You talk a big game but you always, always back down when you're challenged.

Strike three, joe.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 You don't know the first thing about science. Hint - it concerns itself with what is testable and observable. Not silly what ifs.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@QuixoticSoul I have done more research than you ever dreamed of. Elimination is part of science. If you can't eliminate you don't have proof.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 You silly man, you don't even know what research is.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@QuixoticSoul Um yes I do. Obviously you don't. Kind of sad but your ignorance is why I am moving on. Have a nice flame out.
@QuixoticSoul When he says have a nice flame out that his way of saying go to hell. lol
@hippyjoe1955

Nah, son. Your inability to answer a simple question is why you're moving on.

Move on, joe

Again we see atheism conflated with evolution. Some people are either too narrow minded to see outside their particular fixations, don't have a real grasp on what the topic is or are just trolling. Sometimes it's all three.

Well, it's certainly basic something

Do you see that those two statements are contradictory?

There's no limit to the number of possibilities that can be generated, and yet you say that they must all be eliminated.

You have wrapped yourself in that mess simply because you ignore the role of evidence (yes, I know you're allergic to it).

You remember evidence, don't you. That thing which means you're not dealing with an unfounded theory. That thing on which your Theory is founded and grounded.

Or, you can try just making up stuff

@canusernamebemyusername
is he actually saying you did evolve from his magic mud
It's one of the two different claims from his book of myths... although he feels the need to 'just add water'. Apparently dust and dirt doesn't do it for him.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@newjaninev2 It's one of his numerous fixations.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@Bushranger Yup, he'll be off to Saturn next
