The Burden of Proof: Theists of SW, do you believe that an atheist has a burden of proof when it comes to their lack of belief in a god [Spirituality & Religion]

or their rejection of the claim that a god exists?

If you say no, then i agree. If you say yes, then let's discuss.

The burden of what they believe to be proof maybe?
@JovialPlutonian

What do you mean?

Ok burden of proof that god doesn't exist, is that what you meant?@Pikachu
@JovialPlutonian

Um...i think so.

I'm asking if theists think that atheists have a burden of proof to prove that a god does not exist.

@Pikachu it's not burden unless they feel they have to convince anyone? I think I know what I'm talking about, although I have been wrong in the past, apparently lol
@JovialPlutonian

Well yes. There is no burden unless you're asserting to someone else that your claim is true.

I suppose that the unspoken conceit to this question is that we're talking to other people about what is true.
