I'm interested in your questions regarding the Theory of Evolution. [Spirituality & Religion]

Evolution is the best, most comprehensive, consistent and predictive theory that exists to explain the diversity of life on this planet...and yet there exists a fringe group who reject it. It is my opinion that this is largely due to ignorance.

With an eye to that, i'd like to answer your questions and criticisms about evolution, layman though i am. 😀👍

Ok, just a thought experiment. Imagine that evolution took a different direction and the Home genus became a backwater with either the Gorilla or Pan genera developing intelligence. I admit that the ability to remain upright for extended periods of time may well have had evolutionary benefits in the past. Moving from forest into grassland would be an example, ability to see predators more easily and also to carry things would make bipedalism an advantage.

However, if things had been different, we wouldn't have the issues with our poor backs and imagine having four opposable thumbs! I don't know how many times I've been doing something and wished that I had a third hand to make things easier. Of course, there would have to be some modifications to the wrists and ankles, but that would be a small evolutionary leap.

Anyway, just a thought experiment.
