I'm interested in your questions regarding the Theory of Evolution. [Spirituality & Religion]

Evolution is the best, most comprehensive, consistent and predictive theory that exists to explain the diversity of life on this planet...and yet there exists a fringe group who reject it. It is my opinion that this is largely due to ignorance.

With an eye to that, i'd like to answer your questions and criticisms about evolution, layman though i am. 😀👍

Well I'm a creationist so if nothing existed then how was there a bang🤔
@Sarabee

Well that's not really a question about evolution.

But if you can accept the un-caused cause of an eternal god, there should be no problem accepting the un-caused cause of an eternal universe.
@Sarabee I believe in evolution but also believe that my GOD - created everything from literally nothing. Hard to believe -- if the big bang is expanding it stands to reason that it had a focal point the size of our galaxy ? - the size of our planet ? the size of an orange ? -- the size of a pinhead ? there you go -- tell me where the big bang started - my personal belief tells me certian things.
@Sarabee

Heres my two cents:

we can also ask the same thing about god. Religious people would say there always is and was a god. And that would be faith and not a search for proof

As people who accept science, we can accept a view that a big bang did or did not occur, because its where the research shows evidence.

In other words, a present view in science can potentially be disproven based on new evidences, but you cannot do that with faith.

Its either you believe or you dont. This is why there are so many different denominations. They don’t have a method of knowing a fact except “believe with your heart” whats shown to you, or you somehow “feel it”. Thats not satisfactory with science.

So we can ask the question: what happened before the big bang, and it will be a legitimate one. And if someone brings up quantifiable evidences to show, and it’s put in peer review and potentially accepted, then that becomes the reality.

@Pikachu @BigbangFACTS then why are people not changing why r monkeys not changing why is it your faith in science that needs the most faith
@Sarabee

Life is changing all the time. Speciation is occurring even under laboratory conditions.
The mechanisms for evolution are observable and documented.

But what makes you think people are not changing?
I wonder if people 1000 years ago would be as capable of breathing the polluted air that we breath today...

@Sarabee putting aside the fact that the Thoery of Evolution doesn’t seek to explain why there is something rather than nothing, who is saying something can come from nothing? How do we even know that there was ever “nothing”? We’ve never experienced nothing, we don’t know it’s even possible for there to be nothing. We don’t know what came before the Big Bang, but to say there was nothing implies you have knowledge no one else has. Do you?

Otherwise, it’s simpy another question to which we do not yet have the answer.
@Sarabee we are changing all the time. There are mutations happening in cells in all life. There is always change.

Its just you have to have a little background in genetics, and a proper understanding of how evolution works.

And with evolution, in most cases, a “change”, as according to the life form being “fit enough” for an environment in order to survive, take long periods of time, much longer than a human lifespan.

This is why we look at fossils, and we can see the changes via time, using, for example: carbon dating or dendrochronology. There’s more.

Look up terms like “speciation”, “genetic drift”, “macro and micro evolution”, from authoritative science sources if you are genuinely interested.

@BigbangFACTS @SW-User @Pikachu it was fun talking with you thanks
@Sarabee thanks for taking time to read my long drawn out words 😂
@SW-User 🙌🏽
@Pikachu Do you benefit from the use of oil in any way - paint , plastic , medical supplies , GAS ? - yea
I thought so - you contribute to the air of today.
@MarmeeMarch

😕
um...yeah. Absolutely. Obviously.
And?
