That we're "evolved from monkeys" is amusing all by itself but I've seen some people extended it to chimpanzees and gorillas too. I think people who say that really can't know how different the theory is from their grasp on the theory.
@GlassDog It's a common christian trick. They misrepresent their own, flawed, version of a tried and tested scientific theory as the genuine one - then proceed to prove it wrong.
