Atheism is dangerous? Really? [Spirituality & Religion]

When has anyone ever cut off another person's head in the name of atheism?
When has anyone ever invaded foreign countries in the name of atheism?
When has anyone ever started a war in the name of atheism?

hmmm... i am an atheist myself but that doesnt make you immune to doing evil... part of the cleansings under stalin were motivated to destroy the church... in north korea you can be arrested for owning a bible or similar religious book...

Do you think they're right for arresting people who own the Word of God?
@Strawberrry

That's true. Although i'm not sure it can be said to be done in the name of atheism.
I think it's less of a "we don't believe in god so you won't either" and more of a " we don't want anything that could divide your loyalty".
I could be wrong though.
@Pikachu i think most of the crimes done in the name of a religiou arent really done by a truely pious person either but by people who view religion as a tool to surpress the masses

"These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me, and in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men." (Matthew: 15:8 & 9) Jesus speaking to the people.
@GodSpeed63 the thing is that most people who label themself as christians give a shit about jesus philosophy... just look at what conservative christians usually vote for thats absolutely incompatible with jesus teachings

Jesus sees through their hypocrisy which is why He told the people that their hearts are far from Him. He desires true believers who worship Him in deed and in truth. Religious people who label themselves Christians do not do that.
