Atheism is dangerous? Really? [Spirituality & Religion]

When has anyone ever cut off another person's head in the name of atheism?
When has anyone ever invaded foreign countries in the name of atheism?
When has anyone ever started a war in the name of atheism?

It’s interesting when atheists do just what they accuse so-called religious fanatics of doing. That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. Christians and the Christian faith seriously is dangerous heresy for many who see the New Atheism as the only acceptable orthodoxy. Avenging anti-God hordes or trolls have been fulminating the Bible labeling it as tripe and dishonest and morally reprehensible accusing the authors of merely riding the coattails to make a fast buck but it’s pretty obvious that none of them have actually read the Bible or tried to understand it with a Christians point of view. Why not, what are they afraid of? Do they fear that some Bible believing Svengali who’s nefarious power over their crass opportunism might rub off on them. Are they afraid that actually engaging in a dialogue with a Christian and his ideas would put them in the same danger as their counterparts. How can people so vocal about believing in evidence and reason behave like this. Yet they are posting their angry anti-God rhetoric in an indignant huff. Yes they are afraid of where the facts might lead them. The intellectually dishonest critics are doing what they say they most despise in Christians, attempting to shut down uncomfortable ideas and yes debates that contradict their own beliefs.
@gregloa

Sorry, can you be more specific as to how this relates to the idea that atheists have done violence in the name of atheism in the same way religious people have?

@Pikachu
How many heads have been cut off because they were a Christian.
0 Christians have ever invaded a foreign country in the name of Christianity.
Wars have been started because people choose to be Christian
MY point is you are a troll
Read my comment slowly
I’m really tired of your favorite come back. “ can you be more specific, how does this relate” I know you are not that stupid.
Hitler was an atheist. He was a cynical neo darwinist atheist who banned Christianity and killed thousands of catholic priests. The allies considered prosecuting the nazis for Christian persecutions after the war. Communists atheists murdered 125 MILLION Christians in the name of ATHEISM during peace time in the 20th century and that’s a conservative estimate but it represents the effort to promote the atheistic society. Those are just a few facts about atheism.

When I was a christian I did read the bible, obviously from "a christian's point of view". That's why I'm no longer a christian.

I presume by "a christian's point of view" you mean interpret it as you want them too. It doesn't work like that.
gregloa · 61-69, M
@suzie1960 No, what I mean is just because someone says they are a Christian doesn’t make them a Christian. A true Christian has the Holy Spirit to guide and teach them
the real meaning of Gods word. Without the Holy Spirit it is impossible to understand. A real Christian knows and understands this. If you are no longer a Christian then you probably never were a true Christian and never received the Holy Spirit. That IS how it works.

Yes, yes, you've just proven what I said.

You just can't stand the fact that some of us were able to see through all the BS that is christianity and break free. All you can do try to deny we were ever christians in the first place. Sorry but you can't change the facts by denying them, it doesn't work like that. :)
gregloa · 61-69, M
@suzie1960 well seems you’ve got it all figured out. How it all works. You’ve just proven what I said. You just admitted that you denied Christ by calling it bs. Absolute proof you NEVER were a REAL Christian. In the first place. 😂🤣😅😆 you are denying the facts just like you denied Christ. And there is no doubt whatsoever that you never received the Holy Spirit which all real Christians do.
Then you would know the Holy Spirit interprets his word to all real Christians. 🙂 by the way I am fully aware of what I said after all I said it. Why do virtually all atheists repost a section of the person comment they are answering on top of their reply???
Is that somehow supposed to provide proof or something? It doesn’t.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@gregloa I never said I "denied christ" (whatever that is supposed to mean), I simply ceased believing in the christian god when I discovered it was all BS. It is you who is denying the facts, not I. You don't even know the fact so you're responding from a position of ignorance.

You are right that I never received the holy spirit. That's because it isn't real, it's just a delusion.

If you took your blinkers off for a moment you'd see that people of all religions and none often quote parts of the post they're are replying to. It's simply to clarify which particular point they are responding to. HTH HAND.
@gregloa

lol never met someone who got so upset about being asked for clarification.
I'm having trouble finding the communists killing millions in the name of atheism. Can you shoot me a link?

Sorry if you consider this trolling😏
gregloa · 61-69, M
@Pikachu al you need to do is search bing. Here are some examples.

@Pikachu more
@gregloa

Yeah, actually this is the first page that i read as well. I was hoping you had a more relevant source than the nearest google result.
But while it comes down pretty heavily on atheists, it does not appear to support your assertion they people were killed in the name of atheism. In fact it seems to acknowledge that fact:
"I'm not sure that the person about to be executed by a Marxist or Maoist atheist is assuaged in the knowledge that his evil, merciless executioner isn't killing him because he's an atheist but rather because he believes in an atheist philosophy and only coincidently doesn't believe in God."

So it acknowledges that in fact atheists were not killing in the name of no god or even in the name of atheism itself but in the name of political ideologies.

Can you be more specific?

Also, in future a simple link will suffice or copy/pasting the pertinent passages🙂

@gregloa All the atrocities you mentioned were committed by men who were wearing shoes. So using your logic male genitalia and wearing shoes leads to mass murder
