Mythology anyone? [Spirituality & Religion]
Yeah, so, I love reading/studying mythology. Anyone else? If so, what is your favorite type of mythology?
For me, it's Norse myth. I love how violent the tales are and the idea of honor/bravery being exalted above all other traits. A lot of Anglo history is based on Norse culture. It's where we get the English days of the week. Hell, it's even where the word "hell" comes from (Hel from Helheim). Plus, it has been making a huge splash in pop-culture, lately (Thor movies, American Gods show, latest God of War installment).
Lastly, my main reason, LOKI! He is the smartest, most cunning, diabolical hero (yes, I wrote hero) of all the Nordic tales. Wherever you see Loki, there is a plot twist brewing. Where Loki goes, mischief follows. Loki is the reason chaos happens bit also usually the solution. There are others like him (Thoth, Mercury, Hermes) but none quite as awesome.
