Do you believe in God? Have you always felt the same way? [Spirituality & Religion]

I do, but didn't always. 🙈

I grew up in a religious family so I always "followed" God. I was a super rebelling teen though and lost touch of my spirituality. When I had my daughter I started going to church again, especially being on my own and needing support and community to get by. Honestly, God showed me the way and lead me to the path I'm on now and I'm so happy for that. I met my husband through my church group and my pastor even assisted with school tuition for my first two years.

Blessed isn't just a hashtag in my insta feed 😇🙏🏻
I believe in God, Jesus Christ

Yeah. Had a time where I had to really investigate this for myself and doubted my own belief but ended up still believing. It was good though to see the perspective of atheists or anti-theists. Helped me understand why they didn't believe or whatever.
I am big on my belief in the ressurected Christ. Ages 15 to 20 I ventured out but I came back home to where I was loved.

Both of my parents were raised very religiously, my late grandfather on my father's side was a priest. Growing up I despised religion because of how people in religion treated me. Kids would say I was going to hell when I was at school and that I wasn't good enough because I wasn't baptized. But as I've become an adult, I have very much opened my heart, mind, and soul to spirituality and the image I need in my life for God and Jesus to be. And I couldn't be more content or feel more safe.
I absolutely do, without a speck of doubt. I know He lives, from my experience with him. My story of how I found Him is under my profile. We each have our own experience, no two, exactly alike.
I had my years of doubt, too, but yes, I am a believer and it has been an indescribable blessing, and that’s not just a word to me either.
Yeah. I’m a pretty shitty Christian though...I was raised in a Christian background and all but become an athiest from ages 15-17...I had a come to Jesus moment (pun intended) afterwards and decided to try and grow my faith. It’s a struggle trying to fight my inner demons though and find my place in this world...sometimes I feel like god is either testing me or laughing at me idk.

@Insomniac100 I don't think He's laughing at you.
@Insomniac100 Neither do I think God is laughing at you or testing you. It’s my belief that accepting the reality of good creates the necessity of believing in evil as well. God knows our heart and mind and soul, and has no reason to test us for His knowledge. I think it is Satan that tests us.

Yes, I do mean that literally.

I was never that exposed to religion. All my family are atheists.
No. But I was raised to.

@AllMight This makes me sick to my stomach to hear you say this, at your age. You haven’t even begun to live. You were not given the gift of life, to kill yourself, or to waste it. There’s no need to kill yourself. There are so many other options. Problems don’t last. They are there to help you understand that something needs changing in your life, but it’s not death. That is never the answer. What if you end up in the wrong place after you kill yourself? There’s no reversing that. You’d end up in far worse a state....there’s no comparison to what you would face....than you are right now, if you go to the wrong place. This is serious. Not a game. Do not gamble with your soul. If you don’t like your life, change things up...reinvent yourself...I’ve done it many times and I know you can...do things that will make YOU happy. If you don’t know what that is, explore it. Find out what that is. You’ve got a purpose here, whether you realize that or not.
Get help and guidance from a trusted friend or counselor. There is free counseling everywhere. But please don’t kill yourself, honey. People love you and need you, whether you think so, or not. Please take care of yourself, and feel better soon. ❤ *Hugs*

I've always believed in God and prayed to Him, but my feelings have been through many ups and downs at the same time.

No. I don't think I ever have, even though I still prayed for things to be different when I was a kid.
