I saw an article about David Lynch, where he described "It's a small world" as the worst song in the history of music. I'd never heard of it, so I gave it a listen. I managed about 3 seconds. He might be right.

I loved it when I was 6 and it accompanied a ride at Disneyland.

It’s a sweet song of hope—its targeted audience was children. If cynical adults don’t like it, well perhaps it wasn’t meant for them. 😊
