I an likely done..

I have done the best I can with the information given to me. I have no family like mom dad uncle aunt grandma, grandpa or whatever. I continue to be treated like less than in the family I dreamed of..so I can Can only surmise. I am not needed and should be off! (:

My family has been scattered to the winds. Even our children had to move away to make their own life. In the meantime people like you are my sounding board, inspirational guide and most of all give me hope.

That must be terrible to feel. I dont have family in this country, and not much connection with my brother and sister back home, but it's not that terrible for me

@Ladyred learned long ago that you can't change others minds.

Best you can do is to give examples and let them make their own decisions.

How they decide is up to them. Don't close down all contact channels, yet don't either hide yourself from them.

They will make their own decisions.

My own family know how to contact me if they so choose. I'm on ancestry just as they are, and they know it.

All of my parents, aunts, uncles are gone. It's a strange feeling when they are not around anymore to listen or give some advise. I have sisters and cousins but that is not quite the same. Never think you are not needed.
