Women can't even go to prison without men being allowed in their space.

The only way transpeople should be housed with the sex that they identify with is if they're post op. And they have the genitalia that corresponds to their preferred gender. If they're pre-op and don't feel comfortable being house with their birth gender, well that sucks, jail isn't supposed to be comfortable. And if they feel threatened than they should be in protective custody.
