The fact is that there's possibly for this to become a reality - and pretty much nobody has even given any thought to how it would be handled if it did.

We already know that children are being abused and raped by their foster/adoptive parents... so, why should we seek to put even more children through this cycle to in turn put their children through it???

This is no way to break the cycle of abuse within the care system. It needs a huge overhaul to eliminate existing abuse that is happening before you go plunging thousands more children into it.

As someone who is personally against abortion... I would rather abort my pregnancy before I carry a child to term just to sign it over for adoption. I can guarantee that no child of mine will ever be abused by anyone else.
