After this I’m going to try to stop beating this particular dead horse…

But regarding Charlie Kirk…
I’m not celebrating his death. I am amazed at the irony by which it occurred because one rarely sees such karma in real time. I hadn’t thought about him before the shooting, and he likely won’t remain in my thoughts once he’s out of the news.

But to folks like the fellow yesterday who called me "evil and cruel" and wished me harm because I can’t quite love my enemies (and who demonstrated he’s no different):

Suppose this had happened to Louis Farrakhan or Al Sharpton ? Would you be urging all this compassion and empathy for their loved ones ? Call me skeptical; I know my countrymen.

I had no idea who this kid was. And, to be honest, I am proud of myself for not knowing who he was. I don't traffic in hatred, paranoia and delusional thinking of a white "man". I don't spend my time lurking in areas of the internet that spread fear of "others" ... because I am secure with myself.

I feel equal parts of fear and sadness for the impressionable minds he has brainwashed.

I am under NO illusion the president saw this young man (with a family) as anything other than that of a puppet master to young voters. That's why he is scrambling to make his death more than it is ... a death of an arrogant white man who thought he could do and say whatever he wants with no repercussions. You reap what you sow.
