People should know not to put their hands in their pockets or reach for anything after the cops told you to freeze. Simple as that.

@abe182 there are people who don't understand the language or in a case near me, was completely deaf. It's not always simple.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@abe182 You mean like the overweight guy who followed orders to lie down in the street on his belly, who presented no threat to anyone, and screamed to the police not to shoot the autistic guy he was caretaker of because he was only holding a toy truck and the police officer shot the caretaker in the leg AND when asked why he did it, the police office said, "I don't know." You mean, simple as that...?

@CallmeHopelessNotRomantic I will agree with you. That's an exceptional case and I'm sorry to hear that.

@abe182 It doesn't portray the police in any way... except it was a police officer that carried out that execution. Luckily, the guy lived, but suffered the indignity that perhaps only you would not feel if placed in the same situation.
But, maybe you mean the guy sitting in his truck with his hands visible, with his girlfriend and her 3 year old child in the back seat who reached for his license only after being told by the police officer to show ID and after the guy volunteered he had a license to carry a concealed weapon and was shot dead in cold blooded murder. You mean as simple as that, that does not represent poor police training?

@abe182 I'd love to help you out here but I've already blocked the dickbag 😂
abe182 · 46-50, M
@CallmeHopelessNotRomantic thanks 😂
Yeah I don't get people who can't accept 100% agreement.

@abe182 "I support our local police..." mostly says who you are. In other words you support all police actions no matter what they do, no matter how they act simply because they are the police. In other words, if the police do it... it is correct. I acknowledge that simplifies your code of living to a tremendous degree, but it leaves much to be desired for anyone who is a thinking adult.
Joe Arpaio was a police officer. The two out of many instances I noted were police officers. trump spokesman, "Sheriff Jones" with all his hate speech was a police officer. In life you will find out, hopefully sooner than later, that a title or a uniform is not an ironclad way to make a judgment on someone's integrity. Until then, it's probably good you are armed.

@abe182 I learned not everyone will agree with me and I am OK with it. That's a lesson I wish more would learn
abe182 · 46-50, M
@CallmeHopelessNotRomantic I've learned it's best to just walk away and let them think they won, because they will never understand when they've lost.
CallmeHopelessNotRomantic · 46-50, F
@abe182 Exactly. I feel so old saying this. You learn things along the way though.
