Write about something that makes you yourself that others don't know

One of my traits that makes me myself is I always see the best and the worst in people. But through knowing that there is a best it helps me forgive and understand their worst.

It's like if someone is a terrible person in general and I kinda of hate them I know they cry like everyone else. Reminds me of devilman crybaby, it's an incorruptible part of myself that I have for better or for worse.

It gives me compassion and understanding when people aren't at their best, it's like a tick that I can't get rid of sometimes, I secretly want to help more than I do, it's why I'm making it my job soon.

The drawback to feeling like you understand others is like seeing a colour nobody else can see, and you rarely if ever have the same in return. I guess it's called earned wisdom now, people become more dimensional with time.

I have a genuine care and baseline love for most people even if it's unearned, I can feel ratty and crappy towards people too but that's part of the worst in me.

My whole life i've dedicated myself to taking care of others. From people with Alzheimer's and Denentia, Quadraplegics, People with behavioral problems to peoole with Mental health issues to just the elderly in general. Even throughout my relationships i've done that. I'm soon to be 52 and i've worked 37 years of my life nonstop. With very few off days unless it was an emergency and no vacations, ever. This year i've decided to put myself first.

@AngelUnforgiven it sounds like there's a sense of catharsis what you said, like taking off a heavy load after a fruitful journey.

I'm happy you get to give yourself the same care you've given others

I tend to see the good in them too, especially the ones that are in bad ways. They always ask why I cared when no one else does- but that’s why. I can feel their vibes like no other, even online.

Everyone deserves a chance and a friend. I try to put myself in other people’s places to be as fair as I can.

@Mordechai Thank you. You do too.

@MellyMel22 these aren’t just words on a page either. You don’t just talk the talk, you walk the walk. And eight years later we are still friends.

@Ambroseguy80 It’s the same on your end! There’s a reason we stayed friends without even a disagreement too somehow 🤣

I'm the same way. I've bought Christmas gifts for strangers, i give money in Christmas cards to people who serve me at the drive thru, i've reached out to total strangers whose lost loved ones and shown up at memorials for people who i didnt even know because i know that their families are hurting. I even made a post about it here asking if it was weird. I place flowers on roadside memorials. I have a nephew who was murdered so i can relate to them. I always secretly want to do more. Because of my work schedule i cant volunteer but last year i started a group with some eldery people for just coffee and current events and i dont even drink coffee. My schedule changed so i had to stop attending. I did my first yoga class with an elderly person. The journey has been amazing.
I can relate to this so much

@HijabaDabbaDoo I can definitely imagine that 🙂
I enjoy pattern recognition which helps me work a lot of hours outside of the clock
