Communication in NOT key. Communication is the door, UNDERSTANDING is the KEY

I think the tricky thing about communication is that in order for it to work both people have to be able to say what they have to say respectfully and be receptive to each other. One person making an effort to communicate effectively while the other is determined to be a dick or unwilling to hear you out doesn’t work.

Kinda disagree. I don't need to understand a friend or partner to accept they are in a bad place. Nor do I feel anyone has to understand me or what I am going through and how it impacts me. But God dame it communication and acceptance can go a really long way in the face of that.

The more we learn the less we actually know, the knowledge of this is the key to all wisdom.
