@BritishFailedAesthetic putting a mans needs over her own, having a series of rules to follow in order to make sure the mans feelings are prioritised over hers is been incredibly subservient as she is expected to stay in the house or in the bedroom in order to reproduce. Thats not living, at best thats been a servant

Theirs those who support traditional values and think things were more simpler back then despite the fact that marriages weren't centered around love but convenience and financial stability. It wasn't uncommon back then for women to feel depressed and lacking in identity because they were told that their role in life is to please a man and produce kids and thats it.
