You know what bothers me? How men are seen as strong and taking charge when speaking up for themselves but when women do the same she's crazy or a b*t

Men can show strong passionate emotions while defending themselves or speaking out against unfair treatment but if a woman does the same thing she's too emotional or takes things personally or crazy and difficult to work with. In past jobs I've actually been denied advancement because of this. I've had the ceiling lowered to the point i couldn't stand up straight. All because i spoke my mind one time and was deemed difficult and emotionally charged. You see i wasn't always an exotic dancer i did try other things. I got more and more Dissilusioned so i went back to dancing everytime.

What blew my mind was everytime i ran into this issue the management was mainly male. There was one job i didn't have this issue and it was because everyone was primarily female manager wise. At that job i was supported and was well liked for being strong and speaking my mind. It was a shock to me that my honesty and boldness wasn't appreciated or well received in the other places.

@jshm2 im not lazy and why can't i do the same as my male colleagues?
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@blackdiamonds The same reason I can't do the same as my female colleagues. You are not male and I am not female.

I've been in the opposite shoes where standing up for myself lead me yo be demonized and portrayed as an sggressive, threatening male with anger issues, no matter how gently I speak

Liars and deceivers come in all shapes and sizes

Some are men and some are women. Vast majority are enablers who choose to hurt the victim so the attacker does not do this to them. Evil people will collect and use all types of tactics to remain on top. Sometimes they act the victim when their aggressions are becoming too clear. In regular times, they're out with their gang scheming gang business.

If you wanna know why they can organize so amazingly, just excuse my French, but where there are buttholes, you know pieces of crap are not far away. Forgive the analogy

You’re listening to the wrong people if they are saying that
blackdiamonds · 36-40, F
@DownTheStreet it's a double standard as old as time
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
@blackdiamonds eh if someone holds those antiquated views I don’t tend to hang around with them long
blackdiamonds · 36-40, F
@DownTheStreet Neither do i. I move onward

@Mike01 I never had a problem with black people personally, a lot of my friends are not white
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
Yes it's absolutely ridiculous, especially when they are considered "real men"
blackdiamonds · 36-40, F
@Guitarman123 yep yep yep
Interesting. There was once upon a time where it was frowned upon for a man to show any kind of emotion. My father was raised that way and there are some people who still have that view. Times have definitely changed, though.

This reminds me of a song I was thinking about earlier today. The title is

"Man Smart, Woman Smarter"

humans are extremely complex
Raise above gender
Men are allowed to show anger, but they still cannot cry. Women are expected to cry. If they show anger, a lot of people don’t know how to react.

@bijouxbroussard that's true
