How do I watch so many true crime documentaries before sleeping and still be so trusting of strangers?

It's your heart. I laughed coz I find it amusing and ironic. But the real thing is, to see a tainted world and know it's tainted, yet still try to see the good in it... that's something.

Although, please be smart enough to see through people's intentions. It doesn't help you in the long run to be naive.

Perhaps you always want to give people the benefit of the doubt. Which is an good quality to have. But sometimes, we should draw a line there as well.

For me at least alot of these docs are very clinical and removed enough from context that it is just enough of a step away from "real life" that it doesn't really get disturbing unless you go down the rabbit hole.

I used to do that. Forensic Files was a favorite. I might have to start watching it again.

I continue seeing how you guys are increasingly binging true crime docs and I just don't think it's healthy. You're filling your poor brains with negative thoughts about murder and rape 🧐

You watch those documentaries to feel better about yourself, because these people are just so predictably stupid. For similar reasons, I watch horror movies.
