Humans are communal critters.
If you cannot be a friend with another human, male or female, you are to be pitied. One can ignore or manage one's carnal desires.
If you feel this inability to befriend a woman based on some religious view - it is a religion that negates half of our species in this way that negates the intricasies of creation, in my view.
Such a belief system does not ring "true" to me for it breeds divisiveness, hierarchical classes for control, and impedes compassion.
