Why are politicians scared of the anti-women transactivist movement?

Ok, you'll have to help me catch up. I'm familiar with women who oppose trans-activists.
But you are saying there are trans-activists who are... against women?
I wonder if it's just that adjectives in the order you've used them in English would suggest a movement of trans-activists who are against women. Is that what you meant? Sorry!!

@Abstraction the way this debate is being pushed by some people is a direct attack on the meaning of womanhood.....and manhood.

Theres a forced language being imposed by intimidation and weaponised decency.
@Abstraction I guess you haven't followed the debate, then. If you're surprised "trans-activism " could be very much against the right of women (whom they call terfs) to define their own issues and protect themselves against sickos. Very kind and intelligent women are being regularly attacked (verbally and physically, virtually and in real life) by those high-heeled made-up men.
@Abstraction Years ago, my dear father (a senior from a totally different time) asked, "what’s with all these men who want to become women ? Is this a case of ‘if you can’t beat ‘em join ‘em’ ?" Even when I was younger, the transwomen I knew were physically transitioned adults. I admit there’s a lot I still don’t understand, but there are now people who still have male parts but want to be classified as women, want access to women’s safe spaces, and who even feel that they should be able to dictate the narrative for women. It’s puzzling, to say the least

@Abstraction thank you for asking my question.

Curious as to examples of this.
