No. I follow people if I like them and their posts. If they follow me back, great, but it’s not a personal necessity for me.

Not particulary. I follow people that make me smile as I like to see their posts more often.

following historically has meant that someone will no longer interact with me. and it doesn't seem to be useful any longer for narrowing the feed or bringing in the sorts of things or posts i want to see so i don't follow anyone and i don't let anyone follow me.

i prefer to be friends instead of just following someone.

Before these changes, I actually rarely followed anyone. And often removed those who followed me.
