you cooked them this knowing their dietary restrictions

@StygianKohlrabi Would you care to try that again? Maybe thinking with a more, in your mind, “giving the benefit of the doubt” kind of mindset?

@Ducky OK so you didn't know about it. What does it matter whether they're vegan, kosher, or something else? it doesn't need to affect your relationship. just enjoy the leftovers and you will know for next time.

@StygianKohlrabi Because it’s rude not to eat at someone else’s home, especially when they weren’t informed of their diet beforehand. It’s an outright refusal of their effort to be hospitable towards them and disrespectful in assuming they should abide by their culture when they are the one in theirs. For the latter, a barrier that could have easily been broken had they simply informed the host of their diet.
Do I really need to explain this to you? You’re nearly old enough to be my parent and I have to explain basic logic to you like you’re a child. 😂

@Ducky they're not obligated to eat your food and they won't because it's a violation of their religious beliefs. they're probably better off without you as a friend if you are going to ridicule their beliefs.

@StygianKohlrabi Idk how you were raised, but I was raised that being a decent human being comes before religion. After all, we’re all human at the end of the day, and one should learn to be humble and simply respect their fellow human rather than putting their beliefs above their humanity. Such practices are arrogant, outdated, but above all: disrespectful. But we clearly have different ideas on how things should work, so I reckon we have nothing else to talk about. So that’s all I’m going to say. Have the last word, if it pleases you

@Ducky sounds like a simple case of miscommunication but I happen to know it's a core component of religion most won't ever violate. I assure you they were not trying to be disrespectful.
