Often, not always, but often I've seen women accused of extreme/toxic feminism simply because they offered their opinion, or simply, but clearly and with conviction, offered a answer to a question.

I find when people accuse me of any extreme it's because they're already at their extreme and that changes they way they view everything.
But I also believe there wouldn't be a need for toxic feminism if there wasn't already toxic masculinity, which we all know has been happening for hundreds of years and to varying degrees from culture to culture.
Being men and women is the only thing that really separates us humans. That contrast is often a beautiful thing, but exploited at times by each of us.
I also stand for equality and forever feel the push back, always by, sorry but, white males. They're usually the ones who have a problem with equality, thinking it takes from them. If it takes from them they have too much. They have generations of entitlement behind them, so there's no getting through to them.
As men and women, we have different needs and all should be respected.

@ScreamingFox the only points on which we don't agree are
"hundreds of years" - I would say THOUSANDS of years
and "white males" - that is more visible in the US because white males control the politics and economy - but TMM exists and has through cultures and time periods.
I'm not proud of any of it.

"toxic feminism" isn’t feminism at all. It’s misandry. But you’re absolutely right. For those used to privilege, equality feels like oppression.

I notice the people most vocal about feminism's being "equality" are often least versed in its theory.

@Alyosha Those of us who remember the inception of feminism know that equality is what it was about.
Because we also remember how things were before.
It’s the people trying to call it something else now, who weren’t around then. 🤨

"out of the heart's abundance the mouth speaks"
maybe those that see toxicity....can't get past what they have in the soul?

The problem is that equitable is a difficult word for those desperate to hang on to any shred if advantage.

Some people are not thinking too clearly . .
