Is something wrong with being nice to each other?

What if you were nice to me first?

What if I was nice to you first?

Either way, we'd be being nice. We don't have to be friends or make out. We can just be nice.

I'm tired of being nice too. When people aren't nice back. It can be draining. I don't make as much effort as I want to and sometimes I don't have it in me to be nice first.

But I've started looking at people differently. A second to think on if they're having a shit day, if they're holding back tears, if they're in pain, I don't know they're a person just like me. Deserving of kindness.

I think someone could be having a super shit day but just one small act of kindness can fix it a lot more than a bad thing can ruin a good day

It's hard to take the initiative sometimes. I'm not a people person, so I really have to try to be nice. I try a lot too
